We snagged a good deal at the Regency since our 3D/2N stay included breakfast and dinner buffets. The food at Sea Breeze Café was delish albeit the chef’s penchant for spicing things up (no complaints on my part since I’m partial to spicy food). In fact, on our first night there, we noticed a lot of walk-in diners (mostly foreigners) at the café. We would have spent the same amount had we stayed at the other inns/resorts (and they weren’t even beachfront locations). The others didn’t include meals with the stay nor do they include the boat transfers plus 2 tricycle rides could easily amount to almost PhP 4000 (USD 95) if you choose to strike it out on your own.
We arrived during the habagat (that arrived earlier than expected) which brought in the winds and plenty of seaweed on the beach. Fortunately, the Regency had 3 or 4 of their staff diligently clearing the beachfront of the seaweeds every morning. We took a stroll along the stretch of beach at stations 1 & 2 and the shore wasn’t as well-kept as the one fronting the Regency.
Because of the habagat, we ended up staying at the pools most of the time. Their pools were well-maintained and not crowded (they had 3). On two or three occasions, my hubby and I even had the pool to ourselves.
Partyphiles will love this place too because it’s right smack in the middle of everything. What we loved about the location is it’s proximity to D’Mall.
Just don’t buy anything from the Korean convenience store (a tenant I think on Regency’s premises) across Café Christina though. Hubby and I bought a drumstick ice cream cone which was expensive and tasted like fish! It tasted like fish because all their ice cream products were kept in the same freezer as the fish products.
