We stayed in this hotel in 2005.

As I read the other reviews, I was shocked to read one review where they mentioned their bathroom toilet was clogged. I wondered if that is the same room we stayed too. Not only that, water dripped from the roof directly on you while you sit on the toilet bowl. It's really disgusting. If we haven't paid the hotel in advance, we would have easily changed to another hotel. July in Boracay is off season so it is easy to find another hotel. The only reason I chose this hotel was that it was located on the beachfront and it has a swimming pool.

We booked a seaview room but was given a room with a big kalachuchi tree hiding partly the view of the beach. I saw some rooms vacant in the upper floor with a better view but the receptionist said they were reserved for the Koreans.

We have been to Boracay 4 times and this is the worst hotel we stayed which is not worth for its price. I remember we paid 600 nok or at that time almost 5000 pesos a day.

We still enjoyed our stay in Boracay even though we were not happy in our stay at Red Coconut.

“Wonderful Experience!!!”

Red Coconut Beach Hotel

Oct 30, 2007

We just got back from our memorable stay at Red Coconut this Oct. 15-21, 2007. We stayed at the 3rd floor Superior beachfront room(Room 306). The room + the service is excellent regarding the price that we paid for. In addition, we celebrated our beach wedding at this lovely hotel. When we arrived, we had a big plate full of different kind of fruits + wedding cake topper + really nice greeting card from the management.

Take note that we do not have a wedding coordinator plus we only arrived 1 day before the wedding day. I only had like 20 minutes last minute meeting with Mike(the hotel manager) last Oct. 15. I let the hotel managed everything for the set up & the coordination. Mike really did a great great job ^__^ and I cannot thank him enough for all the help that we received regarding the very small amount that we paid for the wedding package. I can assure you guys that it was the BEST Deal that I had compared w/ the other hotels in Boracay (take it from me as I almost asked all the hotels in Boracay + wedding coordinator for the rates).

I didn't worry & do anything on this preparation. I let the hotel managed everything. It was really unforgetable.

I have attached the pictures of the set-up that they prepared for us.

I highly recommend this hotel if you want to have a really good wedding w/o any worries + great great value. Take the 3rd floor Superior beachfront room if you want to have the great view & nice room. If you want to know more about this hotel, pls. do not hesitate contact me at michelleg25@hotmail.com

“A Great Part of Our Vacation”

When I called the Manila office on May 2007 to inquire if they have a room for 9 pax (Me, my better-half & 7 of our friends), the staff told me that they are fully booked on my preffered dates, so I looked for other resorts and unfortunately I can't find a resort that can accomodate all of us, in great location & with affordable rates. So by September 2007, I called the Manila office of Red Coconut again and Ms. Vilma told me that their cottage # 1 (w/ 2 rooms at the 2nd floor & 1 room at the 1st floor w/ 2 lavatories) in the garden view part of the resort can accomodate 9-10 pax is available but on a package basis, meaning it includes breakfast for our whole stay, transfers back & forth Kalibo airport & welcome drinks, & surprisingly on an affordable rates so I immediately told Ms. Vilma to blocked the cottage under my name. When we arrived at the Kalibo airport by 4:15 pm, we saw a porter holding a board with my name on it. Ms. Jevy then approached us and direct us to the van to Caticlan (2 hrs. road trip). Upon arrival to Caticlan port, Ms. Jevy told us that we have to pay 52.00 pesos for the environmental fee (not included in the transfers package) before we can ride the boat (5-10 mins boat ride) then we have to take a 20-30 mins road trip via multi cab to the Red Coconut Hotel. The driver dropped us off the "Budget Mart" at "D Mall" and a staff help us with our luggages. From Budget Mart to the hotel is about 20 mins. walk. Upon arrival at the front of the hotel, we have to walk on the small street to the garden view part of Red Coconut where our cottage is located. When we got there around 7:00 pm, the staffs welcomed us with drinks. As we enter the cottage, we were amazed to see that the cottage was clean and big that can accomodate 12-14 pax. We were not expecting that coz, we don't have any idea how the cottage looks inside coz, the website only posted 1 picture (outside view). There is a refrigerator (not so cold), & cable television. The lavatory are ok except for the one in the room at the ground floor wherein the drainage clogged coz of sands. There is hot & cold shower. The aircon of the rooms were quite well. There are numbers of hangers in the cabinets. The staff changes towels everyday and they have sufficient supply of beach towel, shampoo, tissue & soap. We even ask the staffs to clean our cottage when we go on island hopping and when we got back, the sands on the floor were gone, the bedsheets were cleaned, the lavatories were cleaned as well. None of our things was lost meaning, the staffs are trustworthy. The buffet breakfast table is located at the main hotel near the pool and is serving breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:00 am only so we have to wake up around 8:30 am. The food were great! The location was great coz it's walking distance to "D' mall" where restaurants & shops are located. They even let us use the party area and offer hot water & mugs for our coffee with no extra charge. The staffs are nice, friendly & very helpful. If we will go back to boracay, we will surely stay at Red Coconut again!! Thanks to the staffs!!

We stayed in one of their garden view airconditioned rooms as the seaview rooms we're apparently fully booked. It was a big disappointment as soon as their representative fetched us from the airport. He was very friendly but he took us to their private banca via a tricycle(to my horror!) I'm not a snob but I expected better.Like a jeep perhaps? As we were led to our rooms we had to go thru this little alleyway which didn't feel safe at all.and then the room!!!!it smelt musty, the lavatory was not the cleanest and the wall of the bath area looks like it's going to fall apart...lots of cracks on the wall.... and the sheets have seen better days too...
breakfast the next day proved more disappointment...half of the buffet dishes are empty and there was not much choice anyway.
i just wish i looked around more.we don't mind paying extra as long as we get what we paid for.lesson learnt...

i will definitely go back to boracay but will never stay in red coconut again.

My husband and I decided to spend a couple of days in Boracay right after New Year. It was our first out of town trip as a married couple
and wanted it to be really special. We stayed at one of the Seaview Rooms of the Hotel. We loved our room as well as the Hotel Staff... They made sure we enjoyed our stay and we did! The food was good especially the Fruit Shakes!!! We will definitely be back next year!!
