agreat hotel , excellent service , neaver have seen so many staff. great rooms , quiet , yet you can open a window. we were upgraded with out asking. the checkin occurs in the room which is always nice.
nice clean pool for laps.
the food was excellent , one of the waiters took a surprise pic of us and presented it to us at the end of the meal , free.
late check out not an issue.

Quite simply the greatest hotel I have ever stayed at. A true five star hotel.

Excellent service the entire stay, started with the airport transfer - a nice mercedes with a staff member waiting at the airport with us.

Check in was amazing, about 10 staff waiting when we came in and then the in room check in was great! We had a club room which overlooked the harbour and the floating soccer stadium. Apparently this is also where the F1 race will be held during the year.

The service was always great in the hotel from the excellent daily service to the staff holding the lift open and selecting your floor (thats one guys job in the foyer!).

The club lounge was great with cocktails every afternoon and a full a la carte breakfast each day. Snacks during the day were also plentiful. Staff in the lounge were great and were always happy to help.

The club room also gives you a late check out (8pm) and that was very handy!

Again, this hotel was the greatest hotel I have ever been too, and if I return to singapore will only stay here.

No way its not a 5 star.

We stayed here 16/05-20/05 Room 1237.

Check in was Ok the receptionist was bit rude though just wanted my credit card details.

We were on honey moon and first stop was bangkok which was Fantastic! and then oriental Singapore- The worst thing is that upon telling them that we were on honey moon we were given a smelly smoking room. my partner is asthmatic i told reception but they reacted like they don't care..

no upgrade no flowers no complimentary stuff from Oriental -we got chocolates and fruits from the Pullman King power Bangkok which is 10 times better than Mandarin oriental i think!!!

we were forced to stay in this smelly smoky room which we paid $AUD300 per night.

complained few times and given up we were told there is some expo going on there are no rooms available. Pathetic!

The water force in taps in bathroom is so slow that you have to take about 20 mins to shower properly.

staff here behave like they are very polite but they are not.

i will never stay at this hotel again. there are other options available like holiday inn or swissotel merchant in Singapore

written a complaint to hotel manager no answer. Simply Pathetic Poor Service!

We stayed 2 nights for a stopover in singapore, and we had booked 1 room on their executive floor,

Hotel design is stunning but some service are not what you expect from a 5 stars hotel.

Check in should have been done thru the special floor for executive customer, but for some reason they didn't let us go upstair and check in was very slow, after showing us the room which was not what I booked (harbour view!) I had to insist that I wanted what I had booked and they finally gave me the room! And it was worth it as view was amazing!

The BB and cocktail were very good and tasty
