We found this hotel to be a decent budget choice. We happened to be in Singapore during the Singapore Sale and it seems some other things were going on, so hotel rooms rates were high. We chose this hotel based on rate and location.
The location was really good (except for the construction mentioned by others - we had a room facing the river and never heard a thing). We had a nice view of the river, which was great, and an easy walk along the river to the MRT station (5-10 minutes). Also buses about a block or so away. Restaurants, bars, and stores close by. Also convinient to Clark and Boat Quay.
The hotel itself left some things to be desired, but as a budget choice, it was fine. It was short on amenities, but then we didn't expect them, so we weren't disappointed. We bring our own soap, toothbrush, etc. anyway, so that isn't an issue. Our room had a fridge, which was nice for storing drinks - you can buy bottled and canned drinks in the hotel lobby or at the 7-11 around the corner - and then there is a Cold Storage store about a block away. Breakfast was basic and uninspired, but if all you need is coffee and toast in the morning, it will do fine.
The bathroom was tiny - no doubt about that - and I think it would be challenging for tall people to get ready in there. And as mentioned by others, because of the size, the floor and sink get wet when you shower.
