“Convenient and affordable option”

Clean, attractive room. Nice bathroom although the shower stall was a little small. Drape hid the lack of a window. I was delighted to check into this room after many, many airplane hours from the US. The desk agent was friendly and efficient and accomodated my late arrival after I first got sent to the wrong terminal. (Not a good thing at midnight!) I found the place quite pleasant and thought it was a very good and efficient choice. I paid about 43 USD for a single so it was not a pricey as listed on this site. I do not think there is a way to retrieve checked bags on your way to this hotel, so be sure to bring what you need in your carry on.

The hotel was a little slow to answer my reservation email and never did answer the one I sent about a room on my return trip.

“Perfect place for overnight transit”

Ambassador Transit Hotel

A stock standard and well priced hotel (priced in 6 hour blocks) if strictly in transit for more than a few hours at Singapore. The room is spacious, clean and very quiet with no natural lighting and large bed and flat-screen TV. The hotel is within the transit area so no need to clear customs and immigration. If by chance you are picking up luggage at Singapore en-route you will need to clear immigration, pick up your bags and then check-in early for your onward flight (if possible) and return back through the passport control to the Transit Hotel.

“Spotless and fitted the bill”

The booking process was a pain. I had to call the hotel from Australia long distance whebn I failed to receive a reply to two emails.

I booked the hotel for 0100 to 0700 (the usual six hour block) but upon arrival at reception at 0025, I was informed I could have the room from 0030 to 0630 which I accepted.

Others who had not reserved in advance were not so lucky, with other rooms becoming available at 0200.

The rate of S$55 or so for an ensuite room was fine, although in fairness Fragrance hotels 25 minutes away by MRT metro train and a 7 minute walk are the same price for 24 hours, not just 6.

Ambassador Transit's room was spotless. Even the bathroom had been properly cleaned, and the bed linen was immaculate.

But the best feature was despite it being a transit hotel with passengers coming and going all night, there was no noise whatsover.

Yes, the hotel is windowless, but let's face it, most users just want to sleep between flights in cattle class. This hotel is well designed and is recommended.

“Terminal 3 - Brand New”

Ambassador Transit Hotel

I was very impressed with the Transit Hotel in terminal 3. I had read the reviews about the other Transit Hotels in Changi and hadn't kept any high expectations before checking into this one. Being a relatively new terminal, the state of the hotel was in perfect working order.

The reception is modest, with only a small desk and a couple of tables and chairs. The check-in process was basic but efficient. The reception are very helpful, willing to attend to any request I had.

The room I was given was a twin room, so it was big enough for a single person. You will find a plasma TV in the room, with basic cable channels. The beds are a lot more comfortable than they appear. The pillows are nice and plush. The bathroom is also quite spacious. Modern and clean, just like the rest of the room and the hotel. My room also had a view of the runway, which was great. I had no issues with noise, thanks to the double glazed windows of the hotel and the terminal.

No breakfast is served here, as there are plenty of options outside the hotel to eat. Wake-up service is available if you need. There is also internet available within the hotel, where you can connect to their wireless internet from the room or use the PCs at reception. However, there is a fee. But since Changi airport has free wi-fi and PCs to use, why pay for it? That being said, the free wi-fi can't be accessed from the rooms, so you will need to leave your room to access it.

Overall, if you need a hotel whilst transitting in Changi, I highly recommend this hotel in Terminal 3. You can even leave the terminal to go to the city if you really want to do a spot of shopping or eating before you catch up on sleep at the terminal.

“Long Haul Relief”

Ambassador Transit Hotel

We had a 7-hr transit stop enroute from Melbourne to London on Singapore Airlines. I booked a 6-hr block at the Terminal 3 Transit Hotel which had opened just a week before. Needless to say, the service and accommodation was immaculate, this is Singapore after all.

Changi Terminal 3 is a long building. The hotel is at the far end, away from the long-haul concourse.

After a sleep, shower and coffee in the room, we were better prepared to face the 13 hour flight home to London.

My only slight concern is that whilst the room request can be lodged via the hotel website, you really do need to follow-up for a confirmation. We paid about SGD55 for the 6-hour block - a bargain.
