Lake District, Chile: The Villarrica Park Lake Hotel: "A very special place"
Four nights, early december, 2005; brend new hotel, by the Villarrica Lake, magnificent view; easy driving from Temuco; spacious, quiet, clean and very confortable room; complimentary bottle of good chilean wine; delicious breakfast( all included ). A real bargain, for US $ 135.

Stayed there in Dec. 02, shortly after it opened. Found the service exemplary, food top notch. Most of the help was at least bi lingual, if not more. We hope to return there someday. The hotel itself is built to resemble a cruise ship, with all rooms facing the lake. I highly recommend it.

Villarrica Park Lake is located in a beautiful place, away 10 minutes from the downtown of Pucon, the enchanting and amusement village.
The hotel is gorgeus and the rooms very comfortables.
There is a spa with marvelous treatments (try the roses or oranges massage)and a big indoor heated pool.
The outside pool is too little for the place and by the time we got there, the lake was knee depth, imposible for swimming.
The restaurant is very good, with international influence in their cuisine.
As we got there during our honeymoon I expected a better welcome, but I felt like any other passenger.
Anyway, the hotel is beautiful and you don´t regret if you stay there.
