Spent about three nights there traveling alone in 2002. First of all the Casa del Suizo is a very nice lodge, with a nice pool, great food (buffet for all meals I think), nice and comfy rooms and a tour program with some good fun. Visited a animal hospital there, which was interesting and fun. Together with the caged parrots at the lodge, this was the only animals I saw (except snails and birds). My guide was informative (think he only spoke spanish). The thing is that this is part of the "secondary" jungle in Ecuador. Civilisation has drivven the animals deeper into the forrests, and completely wild animal sights are sort of rare. A guide based in Banos told me that he arranged trips to the primary jungle. I also met some americans who had done the primary jungle. It sounded far more adventurous, dangerous, unique, cheaper and less comfortable.
