We stayed at the Hotel Country Club for two days before traveling to Cusco and Machu Picchu. The hotel is located in a nice part of town, across the street from a golf course. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has excellent service. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are extra large. This hotel is charming and gracious, and most hotels we saw in Miraflores were large, modern hotels with little character. The only drawback, is the hotel requires a 10 minute taxi drive to the tourist area of Miraflores.

This is a large old-world hotel modernised to the highest standards of Latin American quality, located in an upmarket area of Lima with a golf course in front. The rooms are large and very well-appointed. A couple of quibbles: the large swimming pool/recreation area at the back is not part of the hotel but a public facility, and in fact outdoor space is severely limited - a consideration if you want to relax; and the service in the restaurant is sometimes so laid back as to be non-existent. They also cater for a lot of weddings, but we weren't disturbed by this as some guests seem to have been.

The Lima Country Club Hotel is first rate. Our room was huge with very nice furnishings and a luxurious bathroom. We enjoyed the hotel’s quiet pool where we could watch flock of parrots playing in the nearby palm trees. The front grounds are sumptuous and our lunch at the main restraint was excellent. The business facilities are good, and the lobby is very impressive. My only qualms are that (i) the air conditioning was not overly efficient in the room and (ii) the hotel is a bit too formal for my personal tastes. I generally felt like I should be dressing up in the lobby and the restaurant—a feeling that is completely at odds with most of Peru. Still, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you get a great rate (our room was $120). Although I am partial to Miraflores, this hotel is in a great location in San Isidro and much closer to the airport. You cannot go wrong picking this as your place to stay in Lima. And, I highly recommend arranging for the hotel to take you to and from the airport (around $25 each way in a nice car).

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay in this hotel, I took a Standard room. it was HUGE, The king size bed was superb, it also had a sofa , work desk, big TV, and couple of nightstands plus a dresser. Very tastefully decorated, double height ceiling rooms, huge marble bath, both were cleaned and looked after to perfection.
Perroqueut restaurant was superb for dinner, elegant ambiance and exquisite food, staff was very gentle, specially the Maitre.
I really recomend this hotel.
The only dissapointing thing was that during the last night of my stay, there was wedding reception in the hotel, the music was too loud, I could even hear it inside my room, really annoying if you have to take an early flight!
