It was an OK hotel, though not what we would consider 5 star in Europe, more like a good 3 star. We were a group of people doing humanitarian work in Peru. Our flight was cancelled and AA set us up at this hotel with vouchers for two days for each meal and each hotel night. When we checked in, they took away all our vouchers, even the ones we would need the following day at the airport and at other places and not only refused to return them to us but the manager was not available or did not want to make himself available to explain us the reasons for this action which left us without meals for the following day. There was an order given and no one to account for it. I would accept the measure taken by the hotel, had we been provided with a reasonable explanation for the kidnapping of our vouchers. Also, a good hotel always has a manager avaible to answer the clients concerns or problems that go beyond the very limited authority of a recepcionist. Please be careful if as a traveler you are in a similar situation and hand in your vouchers as you use them and refuse to provide for them the unused ones.
