We arrived at our hotel at night, the neighborhood isn't as affluent, I would not suggest walking around at night. However, when you arrive at the lobby of the hotel it is full of beauty. The ceilings are wood crafted and historical/religious paintings adorn the walls. My friend and I only stayed there one night, the standard rooms looked run down and the beds were lumpy and the blankets had a weird odor, luckly we brought our own blankets. The bathroom was clean and the water was nice and hot.

The hotel is fine, small breakfast, rooms with amenities (TV, phone, a/c), minibar, friendly staff, but it is located in the Lince neighborhood, far away from Lima downtown (Miraflores and San Isidro neighborhood) and from the Historic Center. In the nights, the streets of Lince are a bit scary, so if you want to walk after dinner, forget it. Cabs are not safe in Lima.
On the other hand, room service is very good, and the restaurant is superb. Try the ceviche.
Conclusion, the hotel is very affordable (less than u$s 50 per a suite with breakfast) for its quality, but it is far away from Lima main attractions. You choose.
