Stayed here one night on the way to Machu Picchu. Appeared to be a very newly constructed hotel. The best bed and shower we experienced during our entire 8 days in Peru. Very convenient to the train station. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. Property was absolutely beautiful. Telescope was set up on the lawn for viewing the ruins during the day and stars at night. Stored our luggage there while in Machu Picchu for a night. Staff arranged for transportation back to Cusco upon our arrival back to Ollantaytambo. Top notch operation.

This is a beautiful new hotel in the Sacred Valley and just a two block walk to the train station. Restful, pretty landscaped grounds, good food in the restaurant, cozy upstairs bar and lobby sitting area under the bar. Staff was attentive, took us to the train station to Macchu Picchu the next day. From the grounds you can see ruins, clouds, and birds. We took a short walk into the village in the morning before leaving. Great find! Andeantreks booked 4 of us, on our own tour, into this hotel. We couldn't have been more pleased and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone except those with very active children.

Our GAP tour stayed here overnight on the way through the Sacred Valley and on to Machu Picchu.

This hotel must be pretty new. Rooms are located in 2 story buildings located around the property. At night you could see the moon and stars with a telescope on the property. We woke up to llamas grazing on the lawn. The beds were very comfortable with great showers.

The continental breakfast was better than others on our trip. They had a nice conversation room with a TV in it.

Highly recommended. The only down side is there are no sidewalks on the 5 minutes walk to town. As the road is near the train station there was a good bit of traffic. If you go to town at night take a flashlight for the walk back.

“Beautiful Hotel”

Hotel Pakaritampu

This hotel has amazingly beautiful grounds, filled with different types of brightly colored flowers. The hotel is a beautiful and bright terra cotta, and the rooms are very nice. The staff was very helpful and spoke some english, and the restaurant was very good. The town and the train are both a short, convenient walk. We enjoyed our first night so much, we cancelled our reservation at another hotel and stayed here an additional night! I would highly recommend!

I stayed there in May with 5 brothers/brother-in-laws for one night and we loved it. We stayed there after doing the Inca Trail and it was exactly what we needed as it was very clean, hot showers, great breakfast, etc. The gardens were very nice also. I liked that it was not in the main square of town, but still within a 10 minute walk of town and very close to the train station. Our wives had considered coming without doing the Inca Trail and if they had I was going to have them stay in Pakaritampu and after staying there I know that would have been the right decision. They would have fallen in love with the place.
Only complaint was the communication during the booking process. I tried to confirm with them a week before we arrived and I never heard from them, but thankfully they were waiting for us and provided great service once we arrived.
