I stay in La Pyramde for 3 weeks. My room was very pretty, and was more much more than a simple bed and breakfast. The owners, especially Manfred are really friendly if I need something only I say it and I have it. It is a hotel in a very good area (very few areas in Managua have this aspect); I can walk in the weekend in the middle of trees and beautiful houses. The best is a breakfast (Gallo Pinto and eggs, is wonderful for mi) in the terrace listen many birds and with breeze and sun. The personnel were very serviceable, plenty of smile.

I booked La Pyramide Hotel as it was the only hotel I have ever come across on trip advisor that ONLY had GOOD reviews! I thought it sounded too good to be true & actually, I think it was!

A very quirky looking hotel, a Pyramid (as you may have guessed from the name) but making it so individual & the room we had (which I can only assume was the best in the hotel) was awesome.
Manfred (the owner) was a delight from the day I emailed him for a reservation, following through to our arrival, the huge amount of help he gave us with both information & making arrangements to do anything we wanted, to our leaving (& his having to drive back across town to drop off a bag of my goods we'd left with him whilst traveling around the country to save me lugging it all with us that I'd totally forgotten about until 10pm the night before we left (at 4.30am!). Managua doesn't have a centre but the hotel is in the nicest area of the City & close to a strip of hotels/bars & a supermarket & shopping centre. Manfred gave us sound advice on how much we should pay in taxis & the best things to do. I felt thoroughly spoilt & enjoyed every moment of our stay. I have every full intention to return as soon as possible!

Everything Trip Advisor said about the La Pyramide was true, yet in our experience it did not go far enough. La Pyramide was immaculately clean, the staff wonderful, and the owner/manager Manfred went far beyond our expectations to make our stay enjoyable. Manfred mixes German work ethic with the gracious Nicaraguan temperament. This combination makes for a well-run establishment mixed with Nicaraguan charm. The breakfast was very good, the place relaxed. The location is excellent, in a nice safe area, and in walking distance from a restaurant strip.

Manfred has a young chef, Thomas, on staff who delights in whipping up wonderful dinners just for you if you decide to dine in. We had a memorable dinner on our last night. A steak, cooked to perfection, with tender crisp vegetables cooked with a Nicaraguan flavor. You have to try his fried plantain. La Pyramide also prides itself on its wonderful vegetarian cuisine. We sampled some of this fare and guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Manfred was wonderfully helpful. He arranges what you need. It was through him that we got a tour guide (Christian) that was ecologically based and very knowledgeable about Nicaraguan history, which was fascinating. We also ran into difficulty with a car rental and Manfred was quick and willing to sort it out for us. We read that the personalized service at the La Pyramide made all other establishments in Nicaragua pale by comparison and we found this to be true. If you are looking for a small quiet hotel with a personal touch you could do no better than the La Pyramide. We recommend it highly!

This was our first trip to Managua. Our flight did not arrive until 1:00 am. Manfred (hotel owner) had somebody pick us up at the airport and take us to the hotel. We got to the hotel about 2:00 am and a security guard took us to our room (if you have never been to Nicaragua they have security guards at every facility and store). The room was comfortable with AC. Breakfast was okay. They will make what you want. Try the Gallo Pinto (beans and rice) and some eggs.
We will definately stay here again when we go back to Nicaragua.
