Nice lace, good service, beautiful flowers. Compared to Atitlan's Lomas de Tzununa this hotel was a bit over prized. (or Tzununa under priced).
Easy access from airport, the hotel arranged a shuttle.

Business serviceWe stayed at Quinta de las Flores during the first few days of our stay in Guatemala. The hotel is not near the center of town but is walkable (about a 10 minute walk). The grounds are gorgeous - beautiful gardens, pretty pool, nice view of the volcanoes (when you have a view), truly an oasis. The staff was pleasant but not overly friendly. The people at the front desk were not very helpful when we asked them to make a dinner reservation or when we asked them to look up the phone number of a car rental company (said they didn't have a phone book?). The grounds staff were very friendly as was the gatekeeper.
There is a nice outdoor living room where you can relax or read. Our room was large with two double beds, a fireplace, a nice terrace, decent bathroom. Rooms are pretty simply decorated but comfortable. There is also a safe in the room, which was nice. Somehow my razor went missing - not sure if the housekeeping staff took it or if they accidentally threw it away. A bit of a strange mystery...
There are MANY beautiful hotel options in Antingua so if you want something closer to where the action is, you definitely have choices. In fact, it was surprising how many upscale hotel options there were. Antigua is a cute city with narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets. It was a bit dusty but that is to be expected during this time of year, I suppose.
Definitely recommend hiking to Pacaya Volcano. We went through Guatemala Adventures which was well worth it, although the minivan was one of the worst we'd seen. Rafael, our guide, was great.
If you need to rent a car, use Tabarini - the manager there, Gilda was one of the most lovely, nicest people we met during our 10 day trip. The folks at Alamo are scammers and overbook and aren't open on Sundays, even though they take reservations for Sunday pick ups.

ServiceWe stayed at Quinta last August with our two young children and loved it. The place feels very authentic and is full of wonderful photo opportunities. It is a bit far from the centre to walk to, but you can easily and cheaply get a tuk tuk to move about. The more expensive rooms are spacious and have a patio ideal for children to play - and there is even a little playground on the premises which is not advertised anywhere. The pool is also nice but the water, unfortunately, is ice cold - so bring a wetsuit for your kids! The food in the restaurant was delicious, including very nice breakfast with lots of juices and warm bread and cookies. We also stayed at Casa Santo Domingo, but, although beautiful, it felt very impersonal - go there just as a day visit.

Business serviceThe hotel is not localed in the very down town of antigua, but is inside the city. You can walk around the hotel and find that in every corner there is history and beautiful places and very interesting people.
The rooms are very nice, nothing fancy, but you´ll have everything you need. Large beds, cable tv, chimenea, good clean bathroom, closet, safety box, etc.
The garden: this is the real beauty of the hotel. You can walk out your room, walk in the garden and feel you are in a magical place...with all the flowers, tha fountains, the trees and the huge vulcano in front of you.
Perfect place to be with your partner, family, friends or yoursefl.

ServiceAn absolutely fantastic hotel - certainly the best I stayed at in Central America and undoubtedly one of the best anywhere! The grounds are stunning ang you could easily spend a relaxing couple of hours enjoying the surroundings.
The rooms were clean, large and well decorated with lots of character. The breakfast was superb and really good value too.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a bit of a walk from the centre of Antigua but it is a pleasant walk and there are some interesting churches, squares, etc. along the way.
