Stayed one night in Lviv in Leopolis Hotel and was quite happy with my choice. Whilst the city is still in modest condition, the Leopolis is a newly opened hotel in central location with 100% western style & behaviour.

Simply one of the best hotels around, anywhere. It's a newly opened hotel, rooms are clean and fresh, very comfortable beds. Contrary to 1 reviewer, some rooms do have bathtubs, and the bathrooms have heated floors. High quality soaps and shampoos and gels are also provided, as are large bath sheets.
There is free wireless internet, and cozy, comfortable common areas. Spent a whole day working in the Library, with the WIFI and a large overstuffed sofa. Didnt try the restaurant for dinner, but the breakfast buffet is fine, with a standard European selection of breads, cheese, meats and cereals. Location can't be beat either, walkable to most points of interest in city centre.

I've been to Lviv four times. This hotel really feels like a very nice four-star or lower-end five-star hotel.

The rooms are large and well-appointed. Mine had a king-sized bed, two lounge chairs, a wardrobe, and desk--and enough room to navigate around them.

The bathroom was luxurious. There are no bathtubs, but the shower is nice stone with a Grohe head. The sink and toilet were also high-end.

The breakfast in the morning was excellent, which is a real differentiator in Lviv.

If you are accustomed to business travel in nice hotels in Asia, this is the place to stay in Lviv. Just a note: the average price was pretty high compared to the rate I paid.

Traveling quite often in Eastern Europe I have become accustomed to poor service, poor quality and over-priced hotel accomodations. However, I was magically surprised to have stayed in the Leopolis hotel at the organization of my local client.

The hotel is exceptional in its location, decor, fabrics, colors. The rooms are very good quality and the bathroom is well organized, comfortable and soft in a French country home fell.

Internet, flat screen TV all were present, which in this part of the world is not consistently reliable.

The staff was pleasant, though there is room for improvement that is understandable as the hotel was only open for a couple months. Nevertheless, its service is head and shoulders above all other hotels in Ukraine, save the Hyatt in Kiev.

The breakfast was plentiful and high quality, in the beautiful restaurant near the lobby.

Leopolis is my first and only hotel choice in Lviv. If you are familiar with how difficult it is to find high quality hotels in Ukraine, you will truly appreciate this hotel.
