My Wife and I, stayed at the Le Meriden, for a week in January this year.

The Hotel is a first class destination, and the Management and staff are exceptional.

It is our second time staying in the hotel, in 12 months, and will return hopefully, at the end of this year.

The Food is first class, and the attention to detail is massive.

Well Done to Le Meriden Dubai, and thank you once again.

We arrived in Dubai 16th January for 3 nights and stayed at the Le Meridien Airport Hotel.
We can truly recommend this hotel to anyone who is seeking an up market place to stay without the huge cost. The rooms were large and spacious, very clean and we had a welcome basket of fruit on the table. Hermes toiletries in the bathroom.
Also the hotel staff were very helpful and polite from the shuttle bus staff at the airport to the reception and porters. I would also like to add that we arrived at the hotel at 8.30 am, our room was not quite ready so they gave us a voucher to eat breakfast in hotel. We had eaten on the plane so were not hungry but enjoyed a cup of coffee, It was the thoughtfulness that meant so much and it was demonstrated throughout the entire stay. Stayed here overnight on our return from the Maldives before the long flight home. Very close to airport which is convenient for the 1 night layover.

Given the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, I think we had expected something better. The lobby and the breakfast restaurant are quite nice and what I would expect in a 4-5 star hotel, however, the superior deluxe room looked a little dated (albeit comfortable), but the bathroom was a huge disappointment. It was tiny with a very low ceiling (something I might expect in a 3 star hotel). Although the countertop had been redone, the faucet, blow dryer and ceiling were all quite old and definitely showing their age. Despite the lovely Hermes bath products, the room as a whole was a slight disappointment. Nice reception, with a fruit basket provided. Big plus was the lovely breakfast restaurant with a nice assortment of food that begins serving at 5:30am (bonus for those early flights)!

We stayed here for 5 nights mid January, and paid the extra for Royal Club rooms. The extra's include a dedicated reception, a lounge which supplies tea/coffee throughout the day with high tea between 3pm and 6pm (this is great). The staff in the Royal Club Lounge are extremely friendly and very helpful ..... you can even be decadent and have Bollinger for Breakfast (inc in price) if so required. The surrounding restaurants are fabulous and worth the money.

However, there is one down side. There are varying degrees of Royal Club rooms - the best being on the ground floor with doors straight out to the pool. We were on the upper floor: while the room itself was good, the bathroom looked like it had last been decorated in the 1960's. Antiquated fittings and just a general tired feeling put a bit of a damper on what could have been an excellent stay at this hotel. My father-in-law has stayed there 3 times now and always asks to see his room first. If it's not to his liking then he asks for another. This may be a bit cheeky but it works for him and he has no complaints.
