“Simply Superb!!”

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa

This hotel is fantastic, it has all the facilities you could ask for and the beach is brilliant. We went for our wedding anniversary, and they made us feel so special and welcome. All the staff are polite, very friendly and helpful. We had to wait for our room because we didn't book an early check in...our flight landed at 07:00. However, we were upgraded to a Towers Room... and boy was it worth the wait. When I stay again I will book this room.

1. Towers Room - you have fabulous views of the arabian gulf, the rooms are very clean and modern, you have your own personal butler, you could not wish for more. Rooms are well decorated with TV/DVD/HIFI and complimentary internet access in the room if you have a laptop. You get a complimentary bottle of red/white wine each day, plus fresh fruit and choclates on your bedside in the evening. I am really fussy with my rooms but I was over the moon with my room.

2. The beach is fab. Very clean, lots of sun loungers and parasolls, the staff bring round complimentary cold towels, and water sprays while you are basking in the sun. You can order drinks on the beach and the service is good. You don't need to worry about beach towels as they give you free towels. You can also go for a camel ride too!!

3. There are 3 clean and relaxing pools.

4. Service is paramount

5. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the mall of the emirates and the gold souks, and wafi centre mall. Don't make the mistake I made by booking a seperate three night stay in the city because I though this was far out...I would have happily stayed on here because you have complimentary shuttle bus service.

6. The hotel has a sister hotel at Grosvenor House, 2 mins away. Shuttle service provided. You can eat at Grosvenor House and put it on your bill for the Le Royal Meridien. I would strongly recomment Bar 44 which is very chic and you can see the palm jumeriah, and definately the Buddah Bar at Grosvenor House. Great ambience with a big gold buddah.....the food is magnificent!!!

7. The resturants at not cheap..they are fairly expensive..average £50-£60 per meal for 2....but there are more expensive places. But the food is worth it. The Le Royal Meridien has several excellent resturants with live entertainment.

8. The Spa is fab, clean and relaxing, the hamam pools are excellent.

9. I WOULD NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A PERFECT BEACH HOTEL...I WILL BE STAYING HERE AGAIN..THIS IS FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS STAYED AT THE MADINAT JUMERIAH - AL QSAR. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC, NO COMPLAINTS!!!

At the time I can't find my SD card with the room pictures but the other pictures on the hotel reviews are correct.

“Consistently outstanding”

We are avid Dubai fans and have stayed in a number of hotels across the City - all very good. But we keep coming back to the Royal Meridien because it has a fantastic blend of facilities, food and outstanding service. We have been fortunate to be upgraded to the Tower on a couple of occasions (fabulous views), have stayed in Club (nice benefits but views a bit hit and miss) and we're about to go back to stay in the normal rooms twice in August.

The grounds are lovely - we particularly like the number of sunbeds so whatever time you get down to the pool there is always somewhere to sit.

Paul in the pool-side bar is brilliant at lunch time and all the staff are very responsive and friendly.

Given the Jumeirah Beach, the Mina Salam, the Meridien Mina Seyahi, the Dar Al Masyaf and the One and Only, we would base ourselves at the Royal Meridien every time.

I just wish they would reward loyalty a bit better - but that's my only (minor) complaint.

“The BEST hotel in Dubai”

We stayed as a family at this hotel for a week in April. It was SUPERB. We could not fault the cleanliness, food and service levels of the staff. Don't look anywhere else for a hotel - it's not cheap, but it's not the most expensive either. All the staff at the hotel were excellent - one of the best hotels we've stayed in. We shall return next year.

“Best hotel ever stayed in (Club Lounge review)”

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa

My wife and I have travelled extensively USA, Far East, Middle East, but over last 3 years keep coming back to either Le Royal Meridien or Grosvenor House. We are in late forties and now tend to stay in Club Rooms, with the 2 hour complimentary alcoholic drinks period during early evening a big incentive!

Grosvenor House hotel and Club Lounge is better than Le Royal Meridien, although the latter is a better venue if you want a sun bathing type holiday. Grosvenor is a bit of a pain from that perspective as you have to travel to Le Royal Meridien for decent sun-bathing and the beach location. Shuttle only takes 2-3 minutes but run every 15 minutes.

Grosvenor rooms have Plasma TV's, whereas Le Royal Merdien has more conventional TV's. Grosvenor Club Lounge is adjacent to the trendy Bar 44 and has tremendous views of the Palm. On our previous 3 visits they have served champagne in the club lounge as part of the complimentary package (last time we stayed was Sept 2007) so it may have changed. This time we stayed in Le Royal Merdien, for one night in the Club Rooms (located in a round building on the right of the hotel facing the beach), but then requested a move to the Tower Club Rooms (located on the left of the hotel facing the beach), where we stayed a further 7 nights. These rooms are more modern, also if you stay in these rooms you can opt to receive a daily bottle of wine. Interestingly, or should I say disappointingly they did not serve champagne in the Club Lounge.

Ultimately the grounds of Le Royal Merdien are superb, with 3 pools, beach, grass and concrete areas to sun bathe. Loads of quality restaurants and bars. Although we haven't stayed in other hotels in the area, we walked in the Habtoor, Oasis Beach, Hilton and Sheraton and they just don't compare.

If you want a top quality hotel you will struggle to beat either of these hotels

“Outstanding Service and Lovely Hotel”

We stayed at LRM for 3 nights after a one night stay at the Burj Al Arab as part of my husband's surprise trip for his birthday. I had chosen this hotel mainly based upon the reviews I had read on this website and I was not dissapointed.

I had booked a Tower Sea View Room directly with the hotel and I throughly think this was worth the extra money. It included airport transfers. As we were arriving directly from the Burj Al Arab, they agreed to pick us up from there when our room was ready on the day we checked in. They called the Burj to notify us that the car was on it's way so that we could check out of the Burj in time. We were greated with a friendly driver and a lovely BMW 7 series car with bottles of ice cold water and face towels.

On arrival at LRM we were escorted to the Tower recepion area and offered drinks of champagne, juice and water whilst we checked-in. We had been collected by midday from the Burj and I was aware that we may have to wait until the offiicial check-in time, however, by 1pm we were in our beautiful room.

The room is decorated in cream and gold colours and has a large bed with ample wardrobe and cupboard space. The balcony looked out onto the beach and over to the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The bathroom could be argued as a bit on the small side, however, there was a separate bath and shower cubicle with Hermes toiletries which were replaced on a regular basis throughout the day. The shower was incredibly powerful and the bath was quite deep.Hubby was given a cake and a card to wish him a happy birthday and a bottle of sparkling wine.

Each day we could choose a wine bottle that we wanted in the room and this was delivered with plates of fruit and cheese and buscuits. In addition to this there was also a fruit of the day that was placed in the room. There were ample bottles of water placed each morning and evening with the turndown service and little touches such as chocolates on the pillows were a kind touch.

The lights and do not disturb signs were all controlled by a panel on either side of the bed and had little diagrams and titles so you knew which switch operated which light!

We had the options of having breakfast either in our room, in the Fusion restaurant or in the Brasserie. We chose to eat in Fusion and the food and selection was quite superb. It was particularly nice to sit outside overlooking the sea and beach. There was the usual selection of cereals, fruit, youghurts, breads/pasteries, porridge and meats and cheeses. There was a selection of cooked breakfasts as well which included both pork and non-pork products and a chef made eggs/omletts, waffles and pancakes to order.

We ate out on the first 2 nights at the Mall of Emirates, but on the last night ate at Prime Rib in the hotel. The steaks here are of the finest quality and so tasty!!! We throughly enjoyed our meal here and would highly reccomend it to others. It was a bit pricey (approx £100 for 2 courses each with only water and fruit juices), but definately worth it for the service, atmosphere and quality of food.

During our short stay here we experienced nothing but outstanding service from all the staff. We were greeted by name whenever they saw us and were asked how we were and if there was anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. When we left at 5.30 am on the day of departure we were asked by no less than 4 people if we had remembered everything, wishes of a safe journey back home. The staff at this hotel truly make it a wonderful place to stay and I would have have no hesitation in returning there or suggesting it to others.
