My wife and I have just returned from a really relaxing week at the Oasis Beach. We followed previous correspondents' advice and booked half board, and a superior sea view room. Very good advice! We found all the staff to be efficient and friendly - when we reported that our in-room safe did not function, a manager attended within minutes, and the safe was replaced that evening. The food was good in all the outlets, and exceptional in the Oregano, while eating delicious 400gm tenderloins under the stars in the Copa Cabana was also very memorable. The pool area was very well managed, and the lifeguards were vigilant without being officious. The roads are still in major turmoil, and we witnessed three priority changes during our stay. The free bus was an excellent method of getting bearings, and operated exactly to timetable. We quickly developed a system to bussing from the hotel, and getting a taxi back. Plentiful, and extremely cheap.
The Oasis Beach probably offers the best value for money on Jumierah Beach, but hurry if you want to experience it - come September it's going to be demolished, and replaced with another 5-Star.

We have just returned from the Oasis Beach Hotel in Dubai and loved every minute of our stay there.
We booked the superior club sea view room which was comfortable for the four of us. The club class guests rooms allow you to use the 10th floor facility for drinks, snacks and breakfast.
I recommend this to anyone thinking of booking their stay at the Oasis Beach Hotel.

Oasis Beach Hotel

My wife and I stayed in the Oasis at the end of March while attending the Dubai World Cup Race festival. I must say from check in to check out this hotel was first class! We had stayed in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel the last time we were in Dubai, but they were looking for over twice the amount that the Oasis wanted for the same duration of stay. Well I thought... it is 4star and the standard of hotels in Dubai are excellent, its located on Jumeirah beach, exact location that I wanted, was getting a really good offer for half board in a land view room...yeh I will go for it! I am so glad we did. Food was excellent, 4 restaurants, Bazaar (Buffet), Oregano (Med) Singaporean (Thai/Fusion) Coco Cabanna (Grill). As I mentioned we went half board so we got vouchers to use for either dinner or lunch. The bazzar restaurant (buffet one) also does a-la-carte for lunch and dinner, but the buffet theme changes every night so it was of an excellent standard. Also the Oregano did the most mouth watering steak. top marks for service in all restaurants. We went over to Frankies restaurant/bar owed by the racing legend opposite the hotel for a drink, very nice.

We werent sure about the room we had picked having read previous reviews that the landview rms had building site views. Well our view was off the Oasis Towers and pedestrian square below so it was fine. Large rooms with 2 queen size beds made up into one massive superking bed. No balcony, but as we were inside for the aircon that didn't really matter to us. There is a small mall/shopping centre opposite the hotel at the bottom of the Oasis Tower, handy for a supermarket for bits and pieces.
Plenty of sun loungers - grass area has lovely padded loungers, those down by the beach are not as comfortable. Nice stretch of beach. We had no problem getting a lounger with an umbrella whatever time of the morning we went down. Weather was very warm mid 30's...lovely change to the rain here in Ireland. So if your thinking of booking this hotel do, they are closing it down in Sept to demolish it and rebuild a larger one with multistory carpark. Great location of hotel, 35mins from airport, on the beach with views of the Jumeirah Palm island.

“Standard of food very good for a 4 Star Hotel”

Oasis Beach Hotel

Usually stay in 5 star hotels when in Dubai but so expensive over Easter we opted for a 4 star. Went for the half board option and thought the food choice on offer was excellent. We had lunch rather than dinner, I do not normally each lunch but food on offer was so tempting I changed my mind! Service at hotel pretty good and staff very pleasant.

As we were there over Easter weekend it was pretty busy around the pool area and the 'leaving the towel on the sunbed mob' were out in force and quite often did not turn up, which we found really annoying - all hotels should stop this practice!

Some advice, Emirates Mall is not all that so dont expect great things. We ate at Frankies' opposite the hotel. Foodies will know this is owned by Frankie Dettori and Marco Pierre White. Service was fab but food really not all that, I had fillet of Bass but it was full of bones and my partner had an upset stomach after eating a meal with duck in. There is a fab Indian restaurant near the Burj Al Arab, so worth a visit if you are into that cuisine, cannot remember name but ask at the hotel Im sure they will know.

Generally 5 star hotel standard is better, but cannot fault this hotel at all and would go back again.

My sister and I visited this hotel in Sept 2007 for 5 days and we had a fantastic time - if you are looking for a complete getaway in a lovely setting then this is the place to be.
We upgraded when we got there to use the facilities in the Exec Lounge and we were treated like princesses! If you have the money to spare then it is definately worth it - they have a happy hour from 7-9 and all drinks are free!!
We will definately be going back to this hotel!
