My fiance and I have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Oasis Beach Hotel. We chose this hotel as we were keen to stay on the beach rather than in the city centre and the reviews we read prior to booking (from this site) were very positive and it was also the most reasonable option price-wise. Leading up to the holiday we did become a bit concerned that it would be quite dated and run-down and that perhaps our decision to go with the half board option wasn't wise. However, we had no reason to worry as this hotel ended up being fantastic value for money. The rooms were huge and clean, and while a bit dated, certainly not as bad as some reviews make out. There were full facilities including a number of restaurants and bars and the beach area was fantastic. We were also very glad we chose the half board option as well, as it includes a full 3-courses and we'd have certainly spent more had we not gone that route. We still were able to visit a number of restaurants elsewhere so didn't feel like we were stuck eating in the hotel every night.
My only complaints really would be that no drinks whatsoever were included in the half board, not even water or soft drinks. Overall, this did add up in the end. Also, be aware that locals are able to use the pool and beach facilities. This makes a big difference on the weekends when it gets absolutely packed. While there was some construction noise in the early mornings, overall this was not bad.
The hotel website does say they are closing to be refurbished or rebuilt or something or other, so not sure how much longer this review will be relevant, but nonetheless we'd certainly recommend it!
