“An enjoyable stay and good value for money”

Oasis Beach Hotel

My fiance and I have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Oasis Beach Hotel. We chose this hotel as we were keen to stay on the beach rather than in the city centre and the reviews we read prior to booking (from this site) were very positive and it was also the most reasonable option price-wise. Leading up to the holiday we did become a bit concerned that it would be quite dated and run-down and that perhaps our decision to go with the half board option wasn't wise. However, we had no reason to worry as this hotel ended up being fantastic value for money. The rooms were huge and clean, and while a bit dated, certainly not as bad as some reviews make out. There were full facilities including a number of restaurants and bars and the beach area was fantastic. We were also very glad we chose the half board option as well, as it includes a full 3-courses and we'd have certainly spent more had we not gone that route. We still were able to visit a number of restaurants elsewhere so didn't feel like we were stuck eating in the hotel every night.

My only complaints really would be that no drinks whatsoever were included in the half board, not even water or soft drinks. Overall, this did add up in the end. Also, be aware that locals are able to use the pool and beach facilities. This makes a big difference on the weekends when it gets absolutely packed. While there was some construction noise in the early mornings, overall this was not bad.

The hotel website does say they are closing to be refurbished or rebuilt or something or other, so not sure how much longer this review will be relevant, but nonetheless we'd certainly recommend it!

“Fantastic stay for a young family”

Having deliberated for months over where to stay in Dubai, We were very pleased with our choice.
We were only having a 3 night stay after visiting family in NZ and wanted to make sure that it was perfect without it costing us the earth!! This was definately the place for us. We had a seaview room on a Half board basis. The food was good and our 16 month old daughter was more than happy with the food that was available.
I was slightly worried before we arrived as I had read very mixed reviews about this Hotel. I think that if you are used to staying in quite fancy place's ordinarily, then this probably is not the place for you. The rooms are slightly dated, if you are used to modern hotels, I on the other hand was more than happy with the room standard and found it clean and tidy.

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and always willing to help, they were great with Children and as it was Easter whilst we were there, there were Easter Egg hunts and lots of chocolate for the kids!!

The only problem that we encountered during our stay was that the poolside was a bit slippery and not only did my daughter fall over, but we also witnessed a couple of other children slip.
The pool's and amenities were well set out and maintained to a good standard, there were plenty of sunloungers, whether you wanted to sit on the beach, by the pool or under the palm trees on the grass.

All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend this to anybody that wants a little bit of luxury without having to dig quite so deep into your pocket!!!!

“An OK Hotel”

Oasis Beach Hotel

Apr 24, 2008

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Oasis Beach. This was a stop off on our return to the UK from the Maldives. The Hotel is good for a short stay and has all the facilities you would need - it's on the beach, good choice of restaurants, pool and rooms OK.

We were given a sea view room on the 9th Floor. We had a Balcony - although we have a 6 year old and so didn't use this for obvious reasons. The views of the Palm and surrounding areas are great from this level though.

We ate in the main restaurant every night and food was of good standard - although be warned it doesn't cater for children - so you have to pick and choose from the adult choices. This sometimes makes it difficult to get them to eat anything apart from bread and ice cream.

The hotel is a little bit dated in parts and is very busy - and so it doesn't make for a relaxing stay. But it served our needs well.

I can understand why it is being knocked down in September to make way for something bigger & better as alongside all the new developments it does look a bit out of date..

Oasis Beach Hotel

My wife and I have just returned from a really relaxing week at the Oasis Beach. We followed previous correspondents' advice and booked half board, and a superior sea view room. Very good advice! We found all the staff to be efficient and friendly - when we reported that our in-room safe did not function, a manager attended within minutes, and the safe was replaced that evening. The food was good in all the outlets, and exceptional in the Oregano, while eating delicious 400gm tenderloins under the stars in the Copa Cabana was also very memorable. The pool area was very well managed, and the lifeguards were vigilant without being officious. The roads are still in major turmoil, and we witnessed three priority changes during our stay. The free bus was an excellent method of getting bearings, and operated exactly to timetable. We quickly developed a system to bussing from the hotel, and getting a taxi back. Plentiful, and extremely cheap.
The Oasis Beach probably offers the best value for money on Jumierah Beach, but hurry if you want to experience it - come September it's going to be demolished, and replaced with another 5-Star.

We have just returned from the Oasis Beach Hotel in Dubai and loved every minute of our stay there.
We booked the superior club sea view room which was comfortable for the four of us. The club class guests rooms allow you to use the 10th floor facility for drinks, snacks and breakfast.
I recommend this to anyone thinking of booking their stay at the Oasis Beach Hotel.
