I usually stay almost exclusively at the Marriotts, so I booked this one for four nights for me and my wife against the advice of some negative reviews on tripadvisor. First, on check in instead of the kingbed room, we got a double room. They said they did not have a king, and I went along. The room was clean and seemed OK, although it overlooked the rooftop and the parking lots of a Home Depot. But then I found that their "high speed" internet was only wireless and its signal was so week it kept on breaking. I could not even log to my email. When I called in with the problem, the reception gave me their ready-made answer: I could come down and use their "internet room" which was a little room with one desktop PC. I actually went down, but only to check other nearby hotels, and I immediately booked the #1-rated hotel on tripadvisor (the Absecon comfort Inn) and checked out from the Fairfield immediately. The Comfort Inn did not disappoint me, and actually saved $30 per night over the Fairfield. I believe the major problem with the Fairfield was that it was left in the inexperienced hands of two boys in the front desk.

Well, it sure wasn't disgusting. The hotel and room were clean. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. We got a room away from the road and it was very quiet.

thought we'd save some money and stay here as opposed to one of the pricey AC hotels on a saturday night...

the fairfield inn isn't as close to AC as the website is, that's for sure - but thats a minor problem compared to the rest of the hotel...

checked in and was given a room on the first floor...room smelled like mildew, sheets were stained with little red dots, the bed was damp feeling, and the whole room was dirty overall.

decided to give it one more shot and asked for a new room...second room was on the 5th floor - smelled like chlorine (there's no pool) and Raid. Sheets were dirty in this room as well.

left immediately...DO NOT STAY HERE

Fairfield Inn isn't Seaview up the road but it is the best bang for the buck - considering that the rate is mostly under $100 unless it's a Saturday night (and at that point, everywhere in AC is a ripoff).

Rooms are adequate in size and if you want to avoid noise as for a room that faces the rear lot away from US30 (some rooms have a skyline view if that's what you are into)...

Good continental breakfast variety and a number of attractions are close by...if you want a truly good hot breakfast, go up 30 to the Absecon Diner or even better up 157 North is the SunRyser deli with wonderful SOS and eggs.
