Stayed at the Weskar for 3 nights the first week of december. It was great. The room was comfortable and spacious with an amazing view of the fjord. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly. They were even kind enough to refund half the charge for our final day when we had to leave early. An unheard of gesture in the US. The only criticism is that the breakfasts could have been a bit better but all in all it was terrific.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The accommodations are roomy and comfortable, the owners friendly and helpful, and the staff well trained. Try to get a room overlooking the lake (as we did)--a lovely view. The hotel is located just a short distance out of town--an easy walk or a short taxi ride. Open only a year and so not in the guidebooks, it's already booked out for November/December/January. So get your reservation request in early! Excellent website.

We stayed here the first week it was open. We were quite lucky I think... booked a budget package including accomodation and transfers and ended up here. WOW! As noted in the previous review, the views at this hotel were amazing.... broad panoramas of Last Hope Sound and the incredible sunsets. The rooms were inviting, spotless, and perfectly cleaned every day... they even folded our rumpled clothes.
The best part, however, was the service, attention to detail, and the food. Jose and his wife were amazing. We felt like we were eating in a five star restaurant, and we ate at Weskar both nights we stayed there. The wine was reasonably priced and fabulous and the king crab was only slightly more amazing than the salmon. Overall..... incredible value and much homier and better than anything else in Puerto Natales....

We stayed at the Weskar Lodge twice during our trip to Patagonia.
The Lodge was opened in autumn 2005 and is a wonderful place. It is family run by a Chilean family. Juan Jose ,his wife and their kids are very nice people! From most of the rooms (if not from all) you can enjoy a great view of Puerto Natales and the Last Hope sound. Especially the sunsets are so romantic that you do not want to leave the place anymore. There is also a restaurant/bar on site for breakfast, dinner and drinks.

We had the luck to stay there during New Years Eve. The New Years Eve dinner was USD 49 per person and included:
· Pisco Sour
· Delicious seafood canapés
· King Crab meat, or Salmon Ceviche
· Magallanic Lamb (terroir) with potato steamed and house’s salads, or Salmón filet in vegetables panache
· Pears perigurdine, or Calafate Mousse
· 2 glass of Chilean wine (you can choose between several good wines)
The food was outstanding, the best we had during our whole time in Patagonia. We also had dinner in town a couple of times, but no food came even close to the one we had at Weskar.

Rooms are very nice with a comfortable double bed or single beds and private bathroom. From what we have heard it seems to be the best rooms in Puerto Natales, and also with the best value for money.

The lodge is located a bit outside of Puerto Natales, which however is not really disturbing. The center of town can be reached by foot in 20 minutes or within 5 minutes if you take a Taxi. A Taxi costs 1000 Pesos (2 USD). We would definitely stay there again.
