“Elegance and customized service in Patagonia”

Indigo Hotel & Spa

Mar 3, 2008

We had an exceptional stay at Indigo Patagonia. We stayed there 3 nights to rest after some trekking in Torres del Paine. It was great from the seconde we went through the door step. This is a top designed hotel with a very original maze of staircases reaching the spa on the top floor.
The service is great, breakfast is excellent with as much as you can drink of freshly pressed orange juice.
I would highly recommend the massage with "Maritsa". She has angel-like fingers.
Pricewise, it is very competitive compared with most hotels in the Parque which are overpriced for a minimum service.

“Rest your bones and enjoy”

My partner booked this place as a surprise for my birthday/Valentines Day while we were trekking through Chile. He booked me a suite and the staff, knowing it was a special occasion, put a box of Patagonia Dulce chocolates on the bed and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. They turned down the bed in the evening and we had a huge bath right by a floor-to-ceiling window. COmfortable, very trendy surroundings and there's a jacuzzi upstairs and sauna. We hired the hotel masseuse. There's a bar and the breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Don't tell Mr and Mrs Smith about this one!!

“nice boutique hotel”

Indigo Hotel & Spa

nice base camp for exploring patagonia
Remota and Altiplanico have by far better rooms and accomodations but far from town
very little rooms (around 200sqf/20m2 all same size)
bath open to room gives little privacy
noisy location in front of main street
on the other hand we love the small hotel experience ,minimalist look and the fact we can explore the city and restaurants every night by walk

yes:there was an hostel run by same owners in the very same place anyway the positive is that feels like a young and trendy place

“Expensive hostel disguised as a chic hotel”

Indigo Hotel & Spa

We stayed two nights at this hotel. We had read good things about it and we were extremely dissapointed.
This hotel is really an overpriced hostel. If you want to go to an expensive hostel, this is our place. But if you want a comfortable hotel, you may well look elsewhere. It lacks the type of facilities you expect in a hotel at this price range. There are no closets in the rooms, the bathroom lacks privacy, the rooms are quite small and it can get very noisy. There is a mediocre restaurant adjacent to the hotel (it is an independent business, not run by the hotel).
The only redeeming features of this place are the nice views you get from the rooms that face the waterfront and, if you are into this, the spa and jacuzzis on the top floor. For the price they charge at this place, you can do better at a couple of other hotels in Puerto Natales. I would not come back or recommend it.

“Superb Location”

Indigo Hotel & Spa

4 of 5 stars

I stayed at this property for one night on the tail end of a trip to Patagonia as a 'treat' to myself.

The hotel's location is stunning. The view onto the Ultima Esperanza Sound from the rooms is breathtaking. This is the hotel's biggest selling point. Plus the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a spa on the top floor, which the residents can avail of at no charge.

But for the price, I expected more. The Indigo is not cheap, yet the standard room configuration does not include a bath (although it does have an excellent shower). The hotel has internet access on the ground floor, but there are two terminals only (for those without WiFi), albeit that these are Macs.

I intended to eat at the restaurant, but the menu was not exciting and I ate at one of the several good restaurants nearby. It's mostly about the location at this hotel, but it is an expensive price to pay for a view that some of the cheaper hostels can also provide at a fraction of the price!

But as I write this, I recall the superb bed and a fantastic night's sleep at this accommodation. If you are tempted and have the money to spare, go for it.
