Well my overall stay at Resorts Casino Hotel was EXCELLENT! Every aspect of the hotel was amazing. The only advice i give is to reserve a room with a king instead of 2 queens. The rooms with the King size beds are in the new tower and are way more luxurious then the ocean tower building. Althought the trip from our room in the new building to the pool and spa in the ocean tower was a hike. Also if you can request a room that faces south in the new building. Me and my parents had 2 separate rooms and their room faced north and had a horrible view of the fans on the roof, while my room that faced south had a beautiful view of the ocean and the rest of atlantic city.

“good and bad”

I want to start by saying that I am not one of those reviewers who are extremely picky over stupid things when it comes to staying at a hotel. I only state what I feel really did affect me and would affect others. We stayed at this hotel August of both 04' and 05'. In 04' we stayed in the regular guestroom and in 05' we stayed at the renevorous tower. That being said I will list the pros and cons

Pros: awesome shower in the rendevorous tower. It is big enough for two people but there is not double showerhead which I expected after reading the description of the hotel. Still very nice. Beautiful bathroom in the tower also. Seperate toilet and vanity areas. Room very nice as well. Parking and location are excellent. Parking (although hard to find at times) was cheap. The location of the hotel is very convenient and the casino is excellent.

Cons: the regular rooms. If you stay in a basic room beware. Our room was small, especially the bathroom. My finace and I had gone to the pool and when we returned, our keys did not work. We were obviously upset because we were both soaked but my fiance ran down to the lobby to get new keys. Upon return those keys did not work either. We called from one of the hall phones and the woman stated we needed new keys again. I had to explain to her that I believed it was the lock as none of the keys worked. She argued with me but told me she would send someone. Over 30 min. later someone finally arrived and sure enough our lock was broken. We were freezing and soaked the whole time. Also, the room service is wayyyyy expensive and not worth it for the time it takes to get to your room. Overall, I was not happy with the service in the hotel. The front desk did not speak English well and were not very helpful. The pool area was just gross. It was full of hair everywhere eand appeared dirty as did our regular room that year. The restaurants in the hotel are not very good either. Go next door and eat at the Hard Rock.

Tips: I have to say that our stay when we stayed at the tower was much more enjoyable than when we stayed in the regular room. I would highly recommend the upgrade. The cost of the hotel is expensive but more affordable than most .

“Nice place!”

Resorts Casino Hotel

Just got back from Resorts with a few friends and was pleasantly surprised with the hotel as it was rather nice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was a bit skeptical but kept an open mind as all tastes and expectations differ.

Anyhow first impressions, the outside looked very grand and the inside was OK, just a bit dated. (Mind you Resorts is one of the oldest hotel). The staff were all very friendly which is nice.

I'm not a gambler so cannot comment whether the casino was any good, but any casinos can be good if you win right? Well I personally felt that the place lacked atmophere, it just wasn't very lively. Obviously we can't compare Atlantic City with Vegas but it was actually quite quiet for my liking, I expected it to have more buzz. Maybe it's just the time we went, the low season?

Ok as for the other aspects:

Rooms: Very spacious and the beds (we had a standard 2 double bed room), were very comfortable. It was clean and adequate as you don't spend all your time in the room, It's just a place to sleep! We stayed on the 4th floor with a ocean view, very nice indeed!
The only draw back was they didn't have a hairdryer, which is odd for a big hotel like this!
Generally everything was fine.

Food: We ate in 2 of the restaurants first one being the Asian Spice, which I thought had nice food but a bit pricey for what we had. Then again it is a hotel restaurant and not your local chinese. Nice decor with a very nice seaview, so not bad.
The other was Gallagher's Steakhouse which had very nice food and the portions were huge! I dont eat beef but there were plenty of other choices. Stylish decor and friendly staff so again good!

All in all I enjoyed my stay but if I was to go to Atlantic City again I would try one of the other more lively hotels.

“Short and Sweet Stay at the Resorts.”

Resorts Casino Hotel

We drove back from Florida to NY and decided to spend a night in A/C. We chose Resorts because the hotel we usually stay (Bally's) (and many other casinos) were already booked. It was last minute so we understood and to boot a Saturday night. Resorts gave us a beautiful clean and spacious room in the Ocean Tower. It had a nice bathroom and large walk- in closet, clean bright drapes all around nice comfy King Sized Bed and we were settled.
We gambled all night and had fun but no big wins here. Machines weren't so tight but we just didn't get the winning ones that night. We play mostly Video Poker anyway, and our Royal Flush was elusive that night.
In the morning after a few hours rest, we had breakfast in the cafe on the main floor. It was okay nothing earth shattering. Waitress was a little weird (looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there) but other than that, we encountered warm hospitality, by the front desk and otherwise. At the Players Club desk, my husband got a hat and jacket with Resorts imprinted on it. A promo they were running for new sign ups. Check the promos for new sign ups for other casinos player clubs, sometimes they give away nice prizes. We would definitely go back.
Happy Trails!

“Nice Place- Friendly”

Resorts Casino Hotel

Was here recently, mid-week for 1 night. Haven't been here since they opened many years ago. The hotel has been renovated and done very nicely. I stayed in the old section, which does not compare to the new tower. The paint color and circus like carpet in the halls left something to be desired. But if you're able to get past this the room was large w/2 bathrooms and very clean and comfortable. I believe this was a mini-suite. The beds were comfortable as well. Breakfast here was good. The seating host was extremely accomodating and we found she has been working here for over 25 years. Had a great time and mid-week you could get to any table or slot without a problem. No crowds. The staff was friendly and accomodating. No complaints. I would go again but next time would request the new tower.
