I am one of four college girls that stayed for four nights at the Ascot Motel at the end of June. Although your supposed to go for the casinos, we went more for the beach and night life. The Ascot is a PERFECT location. It is one block away from the boardwalk and beach. Seriously! Also, there are Jitney buses that cost $2 per person to ride throughout AC. We still didn't even use them! The clubs and casinos were only 5-10 blocks away. Definitely a reasonable walk. The motel is RIGHT ACROSS the street from the Tropicana that has Providence nightclub and a couple good bars.

Whenever I called to ask questions about the hotel and area, the Front Desk was always quick and knowledgeable to answer anything. When I arrived, the service was just as excellent. The manager recommended things to do, places to go, things to eat, etc.

Parking was fine because we left the car in the lot the whole stay. We just walked anywhere we needed to be. The pool was open during our stay. Maaajor bonus! It was well maintained and clean. I'm not even sure if chain hotels have pools at the great rate I paid. Also, the Front Desk called our room to let us knowthat it was opened. (They had to have an inspection that morning.) There was also complimentary breakfast each morning. It was just the basics but was enough to hit the spot. There was a good sized refrigerator and microwave in our room. This was amazing so we could keep our leftover dinners and such. The room was a motel room. Funky cheetah print comforters and out dated bathroom. Buttt they were renovating. There was brand new beds when we stayed. In the soon to be new rooms, they were getting new carpet. I must say that they should update the electrical outlets. There didn't seem to be enough when we were trying to get around. Even alone, the microwave and refrigerator were awkwardly plugged into a three prong outlet.

Overall, I would DEFINITELY stay at the Ascot Motel again. Probably next summer! Who goes anywhere on vacation to hang out in the room all the time anyways? Perfect location, great price, and good amenities for an Atlantic City mini vacay:]

We had a very good time in Ascot Motel. The manager P.K. is very friendly and he tells you where to go for nice places.
The room was good,near by the beach and casino's on the boulevard. Parking was free and the breakfest oke.
We were there 10 days .The price is also cheap for all the things the motel is offering.
The next time when we are in the states( we are from the Netherlands) we come back to this motel.

This motel should be called Mascot Motel. The cover the truth about this dump of a place. They overcharged (249.00) for 1 night just because it was fight night. April 13, 08 This is what I got:
A 3rd floor walk-up, grungy place that I would not recommend to my cat. Bathroom had 2 small, rough, filty looking towels. As for the free parking, ha, ha, ha...I had to park in Tropicana parking. Don't expect any kind of service; none, none at all. Not very professional front desk staff either. For $249.00 a single night I would have be better off sleeping in my car and having fun with the money.

My wife and I stayed there on Feb. 21 through 23 and absolutely loved it. The price was affordable compared to the other high price hotels in the area. it is in walking distance to all the casinos, plus there is a bus that stops right by the hotel.

The staff is very friendly. I had a nice conversation with Mr. P.K. (I believe he is the manager). We talked about how the hotel is under new management and how they have updated the hotel. Everything in the room appeared to be new to me. I believe he said the hotel is around 60 years old.

I would highly recommend staying there and saving your money for going out to the casinos and dinner. Breakfast is free at the hotel so stay in, come down to pick up breakfast and go back to your room. Or if you like, have breakfast at the front counter and talk with the friendly staff.
