We didnt anticipate the high costs of a hotel/motel on a Saturday night - we were quoted $450.00 a night at the Sheraton (not on the boardwalk) by the Atlantic City tourism information booth we stopped at and that was very steep. After they saw our jaws drop, they suggested the Ramada off hwy 2 which was $200.00 . We should have stayed there as when we passed the Red Carpet Inn we thought it was OK from the outside (had a pool for our 3 kids), Number 1 rule ladies, don't let the husbands/boyfriends check the room.
There were dried up brown stains on the tiles in the filthy washroom, the panelling was something from an old fishing cottage and the area itself did not seem safe. We were scared to sleep in the beds thinking we may catch something. For $189.00 a night, this place definately is not worth it. Better to sleep in the car than stay here. Apparently if it is not a Saturday night, it is only $69.00, still way to much for this place. What a rip off. How can they charge almost 3 times as much for one night!?!?!
Red Carpet Inn corportation should be embarrassed to have this establishment under their logo.
Beware!!!
