“Wonderful experience at the Taj!”

We have stayed at the Taj many, many times and have usually had lovely, clean rooms. I have never had one complaint about the rooms or the cleanliness.
On April 20th, we arrived rather late (about 6 PM) and had the opportunity to be signed up by Ann or (Annie). She was so lovely and so helpful and gave us a beautiful two room suite that was complimentary.
I had asked for information about the Steel Pier outside on the boardwalk and she told me to go online and print discount tickets. We will be coming back next week with our grandchildren. I never thought of doing that .
Ann was a terrific person to have greet you when you first sign in. Thanks again for the lovely room!
We ate at Plate that evening. My past experience at Plate was not good. We had to wait a very long, long time for our food. We had said we would never go back. But, we did and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered hamburgers and they were cooked to perfection. The meat tasted so fresh and delicious! Our waitress, Courtney was wonderful.
I have stayed at all the other hotels in Atlantic City. I always get a comp. room. I am given suites many times. I always come back to the Taj. I am treated well.

Stayed at the TAJ April 17th for 1 night for our 25th anniversary. Unbelievable room. We had a Grand suite on the 45th floor. It was a corner room, so we had huge windows on the side plus windows facing the ocean. We also got a corner balcony, which was extra cool. You have to sign a waiver for them to open the balcony door. They don't want any jumpers. The highlight for us was the in room jacuzzi. We had walked all day, so it was really nice to soak. The room has a marble floor foyer, bigger than my foyer at home. Master bath and guest half bath. A futon, a sleeper sofa, and the best smelling bar soap in the shower you have ever smelled. ALSO....I read on these forums a lot about slow elevators. NOT HERE. Really quick ones at Trump. Overall....We were as pleased as we could have been........Thanks Taj.

“Loved the Rooms”

My mother and I are planning another trip to Atlantic City next month. I was looking at the hotel reviews and was surprised to see comments about the rooms at the Taj being run down. The room we had last summer was a basic room and was large and very nice with new furnishings, a flat panel tv, etc. I'm going to attempt to include my photos in this review.

We did not care for the breafast buffet and also did not care for the breakfast we had in the other restaurant. When we go next month we will just eat somewhere else.

The pool was average nothing to write home about. They were doing some remodeling in the common areas when we were there last summer.

I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Didn't Love the Taj”

Trump Taj Mahal

Apr 10, 2008

I expected more from a Trump branded hotel, all i got was a tacky hotel.

- The rooms need updating urgently. Very 70's feel, old and over used.
- The bathroom was big, but again, very old already
- Needs to be cleaned better.

- Comfortable Sized bed, but didn't feel clean
- Outdated interiors
- Flat Panel TV

- The Buffet was terrible. Terrible Food. Food was fatty. Place looked dirty. Not Recommended.
- Spice Road on the 2L was a good alternative for a bite.

- Hotel Location was Off. Its was far from the outlet mall, Caesars, and The Walk. 20 Min walk away from the Center.

I recommend you stay somewhere else in Atlantic City. This hotel is terribly old, and poorly maintained.

“Nice Suite At The Taj”

Trump Taj Mahal

5 of 5 stars

My wife & I stayed overnight on March 31st. We had the free upgrade from the Executive Suite to the Grand Suite for a total price of 209.00 after all taxes and resort fees. We stayed in room 4333 on the 43rd floor and had an excellent view of the ocean from our room. The suite is a one bedroom suite with plenty of space. The living room had a pullout couch for 2 people, several chairs, a 4-chair dining table, and a wall mounted flat screen television sitting above a cabinet containing a mini fridge. There was also a bathroom in the entrance hallway next to a closet containing an ironing board.

The bedroom had a king size bed (mirrored ceiling a little creepy), a large whirlpool bath for two, another wall mounted televison and a reclining chair. The bathroom was large with a separate room containing a bidet & a toilet. The single sink was ok but would have better with a double. The marble shower stall had three heads and the best water pressure that I have ever experienced.

Completely satisfied with the room.

The large indoor pool and spa on the 14th floor were also excellent, as were the restaurants and lounges.

Check-in and the bell service were superior, friendly and courteous (by NJ standards) and checkout was easily done on the television with the remote.

We also walked through Showboat which wasn't as nice. Showboat has a great House of Blues that I would like to go to next time.

All in all, an excellent stay.
