My boyfriend and I were in the Seagull Hotel in August 2006. We had a very nice time. We stayed in the new building. The rooms were big and the people were nice. Only the foot i's every day the same. There isn't much variation.

When we arrived in egypt, an army of egyptians began to prey on us because we were english. They where constantly asking us to buy things from then. After finally escaping from the airport, we had an hour drive to our resort. Expecting a decent environment to our 4 star hotel, it was like a warzone. With half built structures all around, and busy roads which were quite frightening, we were very disapointed.
Finally entering the hotel, the reception area was very nice and welcoming from the blazing heat outside. With a quick book in, our room situation got alot worse. After ordering two rooms next to eachother, we were given two rooms on seperate hallways at the back of the hotel. This was very flustrating, but finally, we were ready to go to sleep.
The food in the hotel was basically rubbish. And after a few days, we all got ill. Seriously ill. With stomach cramps and Diarroeah for the rest of the twoo week stay, this was awful for us and ruined the experience. The entertainment was non existent apart from egyptian kareoke.
All in all, the red sea was fantastic and was the best part of the stay, the worst part was the constant pressure from punters on the beach, asking you to buy trips and merchandise. One man actually offered us medicine to help my son better. This was because my son was pale, and the punter thought he was ill.
This hotel was not worthy of an all enclusive 4 star rating.

We stayed at the Seagull, (Beach club, All inclusive) Hurghada for 7 days. The main hotel is called "Beach Resort" but right next to it is the "Beach Club", its all part of the same hotel complex.
The hotel was VERY clean and tidy. Its located on the Main street through Hurghada which can be very noisy and busy, but great for shopping.
In the hotel and pool area it was very quiet though.
The room was very nice and average size, with a balcony that overlooked the pool area.
The pools were very clean, and had pleanty of room around them.
The resturants were also nice, and a good selection of food, although they were very busy at times.
For those who want to try diving, there is the "DiveToo" diving centre on site. Here you can try a dive for free, or go out for a day on a boat and dive or snorkel.
I tried a free dive and liked it so much I took a 4 day diving course .. and now I have a P.A.D.I open water diving certificate. (many thanks to my dive instructor "Amir").

Bad points: There are no really bad points really, just some small anoying things, 1. our room did not get cleaned until late afternoon. 2. we tried calling to Hurhghada from our room hotel phone, but that would not work.

All in all, a Very nice relaxing holiday, we have booked another weeks holiday there for April. This time its booked direct with the hotel.

I stayed there for one week, this past August 2006, with big family, six rooms in total, my brother found many bed bugs in his kids bed (hungry for blood) it was a nightmare. They changed the room for him, but the damage was done. This was my second stay at this hotel, but no more. Otherwise , pool is great, food and beach are OK.
