Well where do we start. This was our first holiday in a long time, really a second honeymoon. We could not believe that the taxi driver was dropping us off at the right place when we pulled up to the hotel. It looked dated and certainly not 4*. Upon arrival at the hotel we promptly checked in, we soon became aware that the orgnisation and running of this hotel was well below acceptable standard. we were left waiting well over 45 mins to be given our room key, and this was only done when we went to remind them that we were still waiting.
When we went to our room, to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The room smelt, and the furniture was very dated. Later when we went to shower there was no pressure or hot water. The air conditioning was extremely noisy.
When we went for dinner we could not believe the chaos. There were no clean plates, cutlery. Tables were not being cleared to enable other people to sit down and eat. The waiter service was awful. When you asked for a drink it would take forever to come. On some occasions we finished our meal and left without the drink.
We saw our travel rep the morning after our arrival and complained about our room. They agreed to change it. Our new room did not smell any better but at least there was hot water and a decent working shower. Again the furniture was very dated. The fixture and fittings were well below 4* standard, at best 2* (loose plug sockets, eratci light switches, ect).
The food as stated by others is very much the same each day. Beef Ghoulash we called it, catering for the russian guests which dominated the hotel. It was ok for a couple of days, but after that although all inclusive we went elsewhere. This was due to us both develping stomach upsets and no longer felt confident in the hygiene standards of this hotel. For example the food being left uncovered and flies landing on it. Plates not being cleaned properly. We were grateful that we were only there for 1 week. If you could of seen the state of the pool toilets, it was enough to give anyone an upset stomach. They were not cleaned. There was no toilet roll, soap to wash hands. In the mens toilet there was no handle to flush in 2 of the 3 toilets.
In the block where our room was situated, fuse boxes where left exposed, light fittings with no bulbs or covers.
One of the few positive notes about this hotel are the well kept gardens. If only they put as much effort into the hygiene standards as they did the gardens then it would be 4*. The beach was amazing, the snorkling was excellent, although the limited sunbeds and upkeep of them could be improved. But be prepared to be an early riser if you want a sunbed, because they are limted and some guests are down there at the crack of down reserving them all.
I would not recommend all inclusive. You get served beer in a plastic 200ml cup, and coke, sprite or mineral water in a 100ml plastic cup which are all warm. i think that they hope you will get fed up and give up going to the bar. We actually went out and bought from a loal supermarket mineral water and soft drinks because the only bar we coul get drinks from was not on the beach.
To sum up I would avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!!
