it was our first time in egypt and although i would not recomend going in july again because of the extreme heat, we would recomend this hotel to everyone. from the moment you arrive you are welcomed, nothing is too much trouble for michael and his team, and the cleanliness is second to none throughout the hotel, hence none of our party of four suffered from any kind of tummy upset. the entertainment is the usual package holiday kind of thing but the difference being its your choice to participate, you are not forced to do anything you dont want to.
the restaurant food was good, although a little repetetive at times but 14 days is a long time to keep people happy.
we'd recommend the snorkelling at the sister hotel, breathtaking is the best word to describe it. the quads and the bedouin night are also must do's.
first time have known the exchange rate to be better at the hotel, i got 9.5egyptian to the pound just before we flew out and when i exchanged more sterling at the hotel they gave me 10.5.
will definetly book again but at a later time of year.

we have recently returned from this hotel, and are missing it terribly already. The hotel was the cleanest ive ever stayed in, and the hotel staff couldnt do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I found the food to be varied, and even my fussy 8 year old found something to eat!!
The animations team did their best to get everyone involved in activities, but didnt force you if you really didnt want to. I know that there has previously been some moans on this sight and others about the entertainment available, but they do have a hard job finding evening entertainment that will suit adults and children alike, and they put 100% effort into everything they do. The hotel also had fox movies in the rooms amongst other english speaking channels if you just fancied a relaxing night in the room.
The hotel beach was nice, but you really had to buy footwear as there were a lot of rocks in the water making it hard to walk, the sister hotels beach could also be reached by a courtesy shuttle bus from the hotel, and although there wasnt a lot of beach there, theres a floating jetty which takes out to the edge of the coral reef where you can snorkel and see some wonderful sealife. Loved this hotel, and cant thank the people who work there enough for making our family holiday a memorable one

“St George Three Corners”

Just back from 2 weeks at the St george and was dreading it after some of the dreadful reviews I had read online forums. The rooms were big and clean and modern with small fridge but they dont have a hairdryer in the rooms but you can get one free from reception on a 1st come basis but take one to be safe, iron's can be hired from reception. The weather was amazing too hot for me but it made the pools perfect for swimming in , we went to the quiet pool everyday were there is no music. Towels cannot be put on loungers until 8am and your towels will be removed if you ignore this rule. The pool staff were great run by Mena all very friendly and take no nonsense at the quiet pool . please note topless sunbathing isnt allowed and offends the egyptians so please keep your tops on girls. The Food - well you need to like eggs for breakfast which my hubby doesnt so he went to brekkie once and then never again , my kids ate the local coco pops most days, lunch - they have small filled rolls with tuna, chicken and cheese which is great , dinner - well dinner was like a cattle market some nights the queue seemed to be never ending to get a plate and to shuffle along to see what was in the dishes , perhaps the hotel could adopt a dinner sitting so as the dining room didnt get congested at certain times it was starting to put us off going in by the 2nd week . The food was edible and always hot but my kids lived on the chips they didnt like anything they tried. the chef after the pasta station was miserable to say the least when dishing out the meat he would slice it as thin as anything and give u 2 slices and when you asking for more he wasn't happy . I was the only 1 out of the 6 or us who took ill and needed to get anti-biotics to stop the upset tummy and take away the pains as the immodium had no effect since the doctor said it was a bug , there was afew people I spoke to there that had also been ill and we were told it came from the chicken / beef but i had been eaten the same food as my hubby and dad and they were fine ? could have been a dirty tumbler or cutlery they is no proof it came from the food . And a note to the restaurant manager please stop serving up that stuff you call stew it is horrible and chewy and was always appearring at lunch and dinner times you should try it - it was horrible and chewy yuk!
Entertainment - My kids loved the kids club run by Rebecca she was great and she also done the mini disco for them at night which they had a ball at , they were sad saying goodbye to her she was fab and she is english which is great so she knew what my kids were saying .After the disco they had a show or belly dancing on but the mozzys were eating us alive around at the stage area so we didn't stay long each night and retreated into the air conditioned lobby bar . The lobby bar staff were great we got to know Adel and fady (Cheers Luv ! was his catch phrase) and our room was spotless everday by Samy.we went to El mercato a few nights which is only £3 or £5 return in a taxi from the taxi rank at the hotel in and it is newly built like a roman ampitheatre with a huge screen with cartoons and a mcdonald, kfc & pizza hut for the kids and loads of shops it is really beautiful and the kids will enjoy it. Overall we had a good time at this hotel and would recommend it but i wouldnt go again at height of season as the hotel was full perhaps I would go back in Nov as they have heated pools and the weather is more bearable then and the dining room will be more accessable , I would rate this hotel 7/10 with room for improvement in the restaurant but good hotel. St george beach was nice , they have a free bus service and makes a nice change from the pool as there is a lovely breeze at the beach all the time and great views but guess what the last day we went they had stew on the menu at the beach restaurant - Yuk ! that stew was following us LOL . Remember your holiday is only as good as you make it !

Overall a good hotel, very clean, food fine, staff very good particularly the kitchen and cleaning staff ,who often get overlooked when giving credit because they beaver away in the background whilst the front of house and bar staff are prominent

I have to agree Michael from guest relations is extremely helpful if there is anything you need during your stay he is the man to ask. (we still wonder if he has a clone as he is perfectly turned out, freshly washed and crisply pressed shirt no matter what time of day you see him 7am or midnight)

“Very nice place to be”

Me and my Girlfriend stayed in the Saint George for 2 weeks, and what a brill time we had. Before I tell you about our experiences with the hotel, let me give you a word of warning. If your due to fly with a airline called Coral Blue I strongly advise to try and change your flight's. I've never been in such a dirty, smelly disgusting cramped aircraft in my life. There was no entertainment, no Alcohol, no Duty frees, no nothing We received 2 plastic cups of lemonade for the whole flight, and as for the in-flight meals? We paid £12 each for them when we booked or holiday. They weren’t worth 12p! And to top it off, the woman sat next to me never even payed and she received one.

But anyway, the flight is nothing to do with Saint George so where shall I begin? Well, we arrived at the hotel at around midnight there time. We were both starving as neither of us ate on the plain. So it was a very pleasant surprise when we got to our room (3014) to find 2 plate's of foot waiting for us. It was nowt special, just some cheeses, some chicken, some bread roll's and a bottle of water. Let me tell you, it was a welcome site and went down well. :o)

The Hotel is very nice, clean, well looked after and the staff.... Well, they just simply can’t do enough for you! The Guest Relation's Manager Michael...I can’t rate him highly enough. He is one of the nicest men I have ever met. He always has a smile on his face, he'll come and sit and have a chat to you and is superbly brilliant at his job. He makes you feel so welcome! Then there is the little mar man called Fadi....He's about4 foot nothing and his waist is as thick as my wrist! But he's so funny...You'll be sat in the bar having a drink and he'll walk past and say "all right love"....He'll say it to the men as well......Another top bloke. To be fair, all the staff are great but I can’t mention them all.

As for the food, well it's ok. It's not the best by far. but all in all not bad. The restaurant on top of the roof is much better, however, you do have to pay for that. I can recommend the Tomato soup! :-) The private Hotel beach aint all that great to be fair. you should check it out for your self's, but the sand is more like gravel than anything else! :o(

One more word of advice. We went in the peak of their summer, and let me tell you it was HOT............It measured over 60 degrees in the sun and over 40 in the shade. Prepare your self’s because I have never experienced heat like it. Thing's you must do........Take a trip to Namma bay in the evening's Go on the sunset boat trip. go to one of the Bedwin night's.

One last thing, there is a Diamond ring in the jewellery shop. It's around £6000 sterling. Will someone please buy it before my Mrs makes me to buy it for her..... :o(
