Clean and comfortable but you could have been anywhere in the world, which is my view of Hilton hotels generally. Attractive pool but noisy. Absolutely full of American coach tours. We picked this hotel for our one night in Agra as we knew would be spending the previous night on the overnight train from Jodhpur and wanted to guarantee a good night sleep in a clean room with a hot shower which, happily, is what we got. Beware the mosquitos - this hotel seems to have a problem with them although to be fair I think this is the case with everywhere in Agra. I wouldnt bother with the breakfast - it is absolutely syandard Hilton fare and horribly overpriced. Also, the in house travel agency quoted us a monstrous price for a car for half a day to go to Fatehpur Sikri. Sort one out yourself (but not from the gaggle of touts right outside the hotel) - there are loads of travel agencies in Agra - we got a car for one fifth the price quoted by the hotel.

what a lovely hotel, especially after the hecticness of our journey to Agra it was a relief to arrive in the calm of the hilton. Rooms good size, clean, safe in the cupboard, nice moderns marble bathroom with lovely shower. Lovely reception and bar areas, staff in the bar could have been a bit more attentive. Reception staff were excellent. Pool area was also lovely and very relaxing although it was a bit cold so no need to take a dip. Good sized restaurant and option of buffet and a la carte. the food slightly let it down as was not up to the standard of the rest of the place (and the price they charge for it). still overall would definitely reccommend to people.

We got to Agra by train, and were immediately besieged by taxicab owners and various other people. After the whole train station experience, and the bumpy cab ride, the Hilton Hotel came as highly welcome relief. The quiet serenity, the modern, minimalist decor and the unobtrusive, efficient service... This was the only proper "hotel" we stayed at in our trip (the rest were smaller guest houses) but it was a nice change.

The Hilton is clearly an upscale hotel, but was not all that expensive ($160 on expedia.com, and I call this not expensive compared to our Delhi experiences). The grounds were pretty, a nice pool and sitting area which we never got to explore. The "garden view" room had no view to speak of. We only ate a snack at the restaurant, because like all 4 star hotels, restaurant prices were exorbitant.

It was a short car ride away from both the Taj and Agra Fort. But we didn't walk around on our own at all, so all I can say about the location is that there isn't much around the hotel itself.

Overall, though, a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Agra, where peace, tranquility, cleanliness and unobtrusive efficiency are very hard to come by!

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Kuoni trip - we had a similar experience to the other Kuoni review.
The hotel is very modern and impressive. The rooms, as you would expect of a large chain, are of high quality but a bit faceless. They have all the amenities you could ask for and the bathroom was lovely.
The pool area looked really nice but I didn't get to try it as the weather was a bit iffy.
Where it fell down was the restaurant and bar. The restaurant seemed to only like to cater for the tours. Although we were on a tour, there was only 8 of us so we ate separately - every time you went into the restaurant you were asked if you were part of a tour - some turned away until later coz everyone had to eat together. I just said we were alone.
I didn't want the buffet on the first night which seemed to throw them. I asked for a steak on the menu and waited nearly 45 mins. The head waiter asked if I wanted soup while I waited but I said I just wanted my steak! After that I had fab service in the restaurant - he cooked me my omelette personally and constantly asked if I was ok.
Unfortunately, the service was no better in the bar. Although the barman was really friendly, often there was no-one there to serve. My husband actually walked through the staff door to find someone on one occasion.
I would stay there again because of the location close to the Taj Mahal and the standard of the rooms but they need to brush up on service.
