We are a family of four, vegetarians, with two boys of high energy levels. We wanted to stay in a cave house in Cappadocia and were recommended Assiana by our travel agent. What can I say! We just found ourselves an extended family in the kind and soft spoken Mr. Mevlut, his lovely wife and his two children. Mr. Mevlut has a friendly cat, Garfield, and this rounds up his family. The rooms are tastefully done up (though the cave pension looks very deceptive from outside). We stayed in a triple room for three days and the kids just loved the cave corner in the room. The good part is there is no TV in the room and we didnt miss it all! There is a telephone in the room as well but I guess people taking a trip to Urgup dont need it anyways. The bathrooms are spic and span - in my opinion an indicator of the quality of house keeping. Breakfast is ample with bread, spread of cheese, lovely home made jams by Mrs. Mevlut, omelette & salad. We were out all day, so can't comment on lunch & dinner. All in all, a memorable stay. If someone is looking for a personal touch, then this is the place to stay. In fact, my little 5 year old son calls it a home and refuses to call it a hotel!
