I lived in Japan for 6 years and was not expecting the best from a hotel in Tokyo. I booked this hotel on the reviews posted on this site and I have to agree with everyone else that this is a very good deal. Not a large room by any means, but clean and new. The staff was very friendly, and the subway stations for different lines a very near.

My partner and I stayed here for five nights. The hotel is clean and well equipped and its location is excellent. The metro station is not far away, with excellent connections. From memory the two main lines that run through there service a lot of the areas of interest to tourists and you're only a couple of stops away from Shinjuku and Roppongi. The area is also very safe with a lot of excellent restaurants and ramen bars. I also got a complimentary english language newspaper every day. Overall, highly recommended. The only downside is that Airport limousine service only stops at Hotel New Otani which is about 1 km away, the nature of the geography meant that we had to get a taxi from there to the hotel but this was not expensive but something to keep in mind if a traveller has any mobilty constraints.

Stayed at this hotel for first time in Oct. 2007. Location is good (5
minutes walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Subway Station). Hotel Breakfast good. Restaurant not used because it already closes at 10.30. Rooms small (as usual in Tokyo) but well equipped and very clean. Comfortable Bed. Small but nice bathroom with all amenities. Check in
staff speaks decent English. Ambiente in Room is contemporary but rest of hotel a bit on the classic side because this hotel (like many in Tokyo) gets a lot of business from Wedding receptions. Starbucks, other coffee shops as well as convenience stores in walking distance. This hotel is on Aoyama-Dori, so no issue to get a taxi.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. My first time in Tokyo was made more pleasurable by this fabulous hotel in Akasaka. I got a double room (single occupancy) for about £50 a night. The room actually looked like the photo on the website. The room was spaciouis enough for one, the decor was nice, the bathroom a good size. the beddings and toiletries were clean. Every morning, I had a complimentary newspaper delivered to my room, i believe this is also complimentary internet access but without a laptop, I cant confirm this. There is a TV in the room but unfortunately, no English channels but then again, i wasnt in Tokyo to watch TV. The reception staff were nice, always polite and ever willing to help with any queries I had. The hotel is about 5 to 10 minutes walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke and Nagatacho subway stations. In total, you have access to about 5 or 6 subway lines. You are not too far from any of the major areas, Shibuya, Ginza, Maronouchi etc are all less than 10 minutes by subway. Roppongi is about 5 mins away by taxi probably cost btw 900 to 1000 yen. There are loads of eateries all around the local area from coffee shops, to fast food to restaurants. This is a good hotel and i woud stay there again in a heartbeat on my next trip to Tokyo
