We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Coffee Estate Inn. The accommodations were very spacious, clean and comfortable, the food was excellent and the grounds were spectacular. If you enjoy birding, as we do, this is the place to stay. As many others have attested, Barry and Jane go the extra mile, and more, to make their guests' experiences enjoyable. In our case that included suggestions for things to do and places to see in Boquete as well as finding us some great birding guides (Barry and Jane are very knowledgeable about birds themselves, so if you have questions about what you are seeing on the Estate, ask them). It is likely that we would not have rented a car (which they also arranged for us) had they not encouraged us to do so and that was excellent advice because roads are very good and (unlike in Panama City) driving is easy around Boquete; having a car really broadened our experience. In addition, they booked a room for us at The Bristol, a hotel in Panama City that we enjoyed very much, at a rate that we could not match on the Internet or through a travel agent. They also recommended a car service in Panama City that we found to be highly reliable. We cannot recommend the Coffee Inn Estate too highly. It is one of the great tourist bargains. La Montana's rooms, grounds and owner/operators are lovely. Jane and Barry take very good care of their guests.

The bungalows are roomy, well equipped and flawlessly maintained. The meals prepared by Barry and Jane were consistently delicious, and very good wine was on offer at prices only slightly higher than my local liquor store. We enjoyed walking the grounds and sitting on our deck while enjoying the continuous appearance of exotic birds.

Jane arranged a birding guide who really knew her stuff and was reasonably priced. Jane's advice on local activities and eateries was dead on.

We would go out of our way to stay here again.

The property is a special gem nestled in the verdant mountains of Boquete where Jane and Barry welcome the guests like family.
The guest cottages are spottless and comfortable. The fresh roasted coffee that is grown on the Inn property is so delicious that we brought back 15 lbs for Christmas gifts.

Barry gave us a tour of the beautiful grounds that he lovingly tends. Birds congregate below the many orange trees to feast on the ubiquitous fruit.

It is a feast for the senses.

The fresh baked breads that are provided daily along with the fresh oranges and bananas from the property are a joy.

Go there! Stay there! It was worth every cent. We are going back!

Jane and Barry will then assist you in planning the rest of your trip, and help arrange your rental car, discount rate at Panama City hotel, etc. Our romantic dinner in was really a delight, because Ofelia made an elaborate table with flowers, candles, etc., and the food was scrumptious.
