Yes I had a great time at Metro Park. I found the staff fine and the hotel is very quiet and a short taxi ride to Ayala Mall. Good places to eat along the main road and within walking distance to "The Village".
Keep in mind it is one of the cheapest in Cebu. Others mentioned here are three times the price.

I stayed at the Hotel for two months. The pictures on their web site look better than reality. The pool is not as nice as it appears. Food is very expensive compared to local spots. Its off the main drag (Salines Dr) and you have to walk through alleys if you dont take a cab to get to main street. Ownership is not Philippine and very unfriendly. Personel are friendly filipinas. Elmer can be helpful. Had to chase a mouse out of the room a couple of times. Outside the walk to the main drag, its in a good location. I wont stay there my next time which will be in the next couple of months. There is a new hotel being built next to Jo's Chicken on Salnies but I dont know the rates. I would have moved out of Metro Park Hotel, but some of the guest were my friends. Again, management was terrible, unfriendly and cold!!

We rented a 2 bedroom apartment at MetroPark as we were 4 adults with 2 children. Purpose was shopping, and the location towards city centers, restaurants, etc., was good. The hotels taxi service was very good. Nice little backyard swimmingpool and good enough restaurant. The manager did her best with untrained crew as we had to constantly remind about room cleaning. A talk with the owners helped and I guess we got what we paid for. The last days of our month long stay we transferred to Tamboli West at Mactan, a totally different world - at a totally different price.

I'll have to agree with the negative reviews others have given this hotel. It's a shame really because the location is good and the physical facility is not bad. It's just that it appears to have had no maintainance since it was built. The desk staff are poorly trained. They could find no record of our reservation and were not terribly helpful. I attribute this to management. They seem to have just hired some kids to run the place with no training, direction or supervision. With renovation and good management this place could be an excellent choice.
