We arrived, and the lobby seemed so depressing. It was big and roomy,
but there were very few people there, and it did not seem to be a very welcoming place.
The room was on the second floor, and there were mosquitos everywhere. The air conditioning was set at 5 degrees celcius, but it would not go anything lower than 25 degrees. The beds were awful. There were two twin sized beds, and we would expect at least doubles or queens. They were very very uncomfortable to sleep in. The TV was very small, and although the hotel was only recently built, the high ceilings made it seem like a hotel in the 1950s. The drawer handles kept falling off, and the laundry bag was not for us to keep, so our clothes stinked in our suitcases.
The bathroom was ok. There was seperate tub and shower, but the bath tub was not installed properly, and there were cracks everywhere. The sink water was always warm and disgusting. The shower was good, and the toilet did not always flush properly. The closet opened from the hallway and the bathroom, so there was not much privacy in the bathroom. Toothbrushes were provided, as expected in any hotel in the People's Republic of China, but the toothpaste was not, such a disappointment. Everything was provided for only two guests, we had three. Therefore, since the hotel staff did not provide enough towels, toothbrushes, etc., we had to share them.
The price of the room was 768CNY, about exactly 100USD, so it was ok in value.
