The Blue Tree Towers Paulista is a great value and a really nice, modern property...well located, and with good service. The breakfast buffet is free and very nice, and the price is right. I usually call up Blue Tree and get a rate of R$178/night (about US$75) or sometimes less if it's a weekend.
Hi-speed internet is now available although it's R$25/day which is a bit expensive. This may come down.
The rooms are simple but modern, with nice marble bathrooms. This same type of hotel has been built about 25 times all over Sao Paulo, as if there was a cookie cutter set of blueprints.
Anyway, I can't imagine why anyone would shell out major bucks for a U.S. hotel chain when the Blue Tree chain in Brazil gives you all the same quality and service for a fraction of the price. In fact, it's hard to believe Blue Tree could be making any money since these places are such a good deal.
