The Lily Pond Guest House is like your second home, just better, because you are on holidays. The guys, Sean and Zak, the two English owners made a real dream come true in the paradise. The location is perfect; a little bit further off from the "busy" main street, in a lush, quiet garden. All shops, bars, restaurants and dive shops are easily reached on foot though. Our room, the Captain Morgan was very homey. There is a roof garden from where you can see the view you only see in travel catalogs and you can sunbath under the tropical sun.
Sean, a former chef, makes your breakfast every morning in a convenient time (this is important after couple of rum and beer infused nights). And you know what, every breakfast is a little holiday itself. Innovative, varied, tasty and beautifully presented. And plenty. The coffee's worth another column, but this is not a coffee tasting page.
You can be in your room 24 hours if you want to relax, but don't miss at least the beginning of the night in the closest pub, the Sundowners. There you can meet everybody who counts in the West End, and you don't need better introduction then this two guys. Zak even has his own cocktail creation there, named Zakattack, which you will come to love.
And don't let me forget about Lola. The cutest spaniel I have ever seen. She lives with them and she will be one of your best mates. She looks adorable at the bar, where she has her own spot. And now you have to remember this: she loves beef jerky.
