“The greatest bargain in India, maybe the world”

Hotel Pearl Palace

The idea that this is the finest hotel in Jaipur is preposterous, until you factor in the price. We had one of the most expensive rooms for 3-days & ate all our breakfast there as well as most of our meals for a total bill of about $80.

The rooms were clean, the decorating was funky & great & the restaurant was wonderful, the location was near $500 hotels & the staff was kind. The taxi drivers out front were even much more agreeable than others around the City.

Obviously you give up something for the price but it was little problem. I didn't check the wattage on the light bulbs in the room but they couldn't have been more than 10 so the room was fairly dark. the hot water was slow to come to the shower and when it did come I found the cold faucet nonfunctional.

Everything else has been mentioned in every other review. I would stay here again in a flash.

“Best Accommodation in India”

This was the nicest hotel experience we had in India and also one of the cheapest. The management were all polite and helpful, and the rooftop restaurant was fantastic. The only negative was a very long wait for hot water but there was hot water! and toilet paper!

I will be taking a small group of friends back here - it is highly recommended by me.

“Deservedly popular”

Fantastic value for money, this small hotel really deserves it no.1 rating. I relied entirely on other TA reviews in selecting this hotel and I'm glad I did.
The only downside was that the room decor was dated, but other than that I have only good things to say. The welcome received by all the staff and especially Mr Singh the owner, the receptionist, and Rocky, a waiter, was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Mr Singh's booklet about Jaipur was very useful and is a nice souvenir of our stay. I really felt that the staff were willing to go the extra mile, for instance it is the only hotel in India which we stayed in that was happy to give us small change each morning before setting out for the day - very helpful!
For £10 a night we couldnt have asked for or expected more. Obviously you dont get luxury for that price but it far exceeded our expectations. Our room and en suite was immaculately clean, the communal areas of the hotel are cheerfully decorated and the rooftop restaurant is fabulous and again exceedingly good value for money. Unusually for us we ate in the restaurant for all 4 nights of our stay. The food was delicious and varied and the setting superb. Unfortunately the beer supply ran out on our last night. I hope that wasnt our fault! The overall feel of the hotel is very relaxed but it wasnt the backpacker joint I was expecting for the price, there were quite a few families and business people there too.
In terms of location, the pink city is about a ten minute auto rickshaw ride from the hotel, so pretty handy. There is usually a gaggle of drivers outside and they are pretty reasonably priced if you haggle a bit. It is worth asking at reception what the going rate is for your destination as this will help you to haggle and someone will generally pipe up that they are prepared to take you for that price.

“A Marvelous Hotel”

Hotel Pearl Palace

Apr 13, 2008

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in March 2008. What a marvelous, clean, and friendly hotel. Very reasonably priced, and that includes the food at the marvelous rooftop restaurant.

The ambience is great the staff very friendly and helpful. I could not imagine anyone going there without being totally happy with their stay. There is an information booklet handed to guest on arrival in which is all the information you need to know to help you get around the area, plus some lovely recipes to take home with you. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Singh and their staff.

“Quiet comfort in bustling Jaipur”

Hotel Pearl Palace

Apr 8, 2008

The Pearl Palace is very good, easily the best hotel that we stayed at on our trip to India. Everything seems very well organised and the rooftop restaurant is a delight.
The Hotel is in a quiet location , the rooms are clean and spacious, and we liked it so much that we dropped back in for breakfast later on our trip when we had an hour to spare between getting off the sleeper train and going to the airport.
The owner, Mr Singh, has had some fun with his hotel, from his wonderful Royal Enfield bike parked at reception to the cool hip restaurant and a crow's nest viewing platform on the roof with views over Hothroi Fort and pigeons, doves and parakeets.
