Well, yes, it is on a hillside, but you need to be in really good shape to hike the 400' up to your cabin. It is a steep climb, not for the weak of knees or heart. Yoga is at 7 am, so hope you're an early riser. The food is excellent and good portions, tho I did miss having desserts. The pool is lovely, overlooking the valley below, and was the perfect temperature, which was lucky as it is hot there in April, there is no where else one would want to be. There is no shortage of giant spiders, scorpions or creepy crawly things and each guest receives a whistle to receive help from the nighttime security folks. The reflexology, facials and massages are lovely, and the staff is knowlegable about tours available in the area. I heard monkeys nearby and there are birds flying about (saw a couple of hummingbirds). This is an easy place for single travelers to meet others and feel safe. But it is a 10 minute ride into town if you are looking for some entertainment (or meat, wine, sweets, etc.) The staff was very responsive to any requests (I wanted ice cream and to have my room moved) and they quickly hopped to. This is a special place for the younger, well-traveled, not-too-squeamish type.
