Having stayed in many other five star hotels around Latin America this one was definitely the most dissappointing.
The check in person was bored, and acted like we were interrupting him.
The room was tired and in need of updating.
The linen felt old and well used.
The breakfast was ok, but not great.
You have to pay to use the internet in your room - a daily charge of US$15 and its not wireless (except in the lobby where it is free)
You have to pay to use the hotel gym - a daily charge of US$35
The restaurant and room serivce meals were good, but nothing exceptional.
Overall it was a distinctly underwhelming stay, it felt like a good three star hotel - nowhere near a five star hotel.
