We spent five days in Buenos Aires on our way to an Antarctica Cruise. We stayed 5 nights at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center and loved it. It looks and feels like a typical Sharaton Hotel. However an excellent breakfast was included with our room rate. We booked the hotel through an Argentinian travel agent (Wow! Argentina) and received a lower rate than quoted on the internet that included breakfast and taxes. It also provided 1/2 hour free access to the internet everyday. There is a very fine a la carte restaurant at the hotel that we loved. The location is very good and all of the staff were quite pleasant and helpful. Overall it was an excellent experience.

[This was booked through Orient Lines, as part of a pre-cruise package]. A beautiful hotel, in the heart of the CBD ("Centro"), near the new Pacifico shopping centre and the famous Julio Avenida- the widest street in the world. Great rooms, great views, and the more expensive rooms have wide flat-screen tvs. About 50 channels, all free. Good mini-bars. English-speaking staff and excellent service. Restaurant is buffet for breakies. There is free internet for one hour and shops, and cafes.

The Sheraton Buenos Aires had a lot more character than we expected and was in a terrific location with great views all around. We were on the business floors, which had a charming lounge serving breakfast all morning and tea service in the afternoon.

There was ongoing construction while we were there and the elevator service was spotty, often resulting in 15 or 20 minute waits to get up or down. I hope that's done now.

We stayed here for three days preceding an expedition down to Antarctica.

The hotel was very conveniently located in the centre of Buenos Aires and walking distance from the main shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with panoramic city views.

The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.

I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.
