I was at the Loi Suites in Recoleta for 8 days at the end of November. The hotel is located in a great area of Recoleta within safe walking distance to the Cemetery, the craft show on Saturday and Sundays, copious bars, cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. You can get to most other areas of BA by taxi in 5 or 10 minutes.

The hotel is nice, I booked what they call an "executive studio" for 3 people and we had plenty of room, the bathroom was spacious enough to accommodate 3 of us, no problems. The room was clean, the housekeeping staff did a great job. The room had a mini bar, TV, CD player, safe, etc. We were on the 6th floor and never heard a sound in the hotel.

The breakfast is included and with enough variety to satisfy most appetites and tastes.

Front desk staff was courteous, all spoke good English. They were not helpful with recommendations on places to go, or questions about locales we wanted to frequent. They were always willing to look up the information on the internet and provide addresses and make phone calls, but they were not eager make recommendations about places to eat, tango shows, milongas, etc.

Hotel has a business center with 4 PCs, I used them daily and never had to wait. Most of the hotel guests are tourists and also some business travelers. Also a small but nice gym, sauna.

Overall I recommend this hotel primarily for the location, close to everything and in an area that is safe, easy to walk around and enjoy.

I had booked a 2 room suite. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom was miniscule with likesize toilet. No tv in the bedroom , only in the living room. Staff was attentive and friendly, breakfast was decent, room had a clean feeling to it, overall the experience was good, but somewhat overpriced for what you get. You are probably better off getting one of the regular studio rooms. Would I go again? Sure, the location is fantastic, but I wouldn't mind trying some other places first.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They had a wedding reception until 4:00 in the morning. They refused to change our room. Obvioulsy they care more about the money they bring in from their events than the guests. Also, all of the reception people were nasty. I wouldn´t stay there again even if you paid me.

We moved to the Ayres Des Recoleta, which is around the corner - they are fabulous!

This is a great hotel, well situated, well run and well equipped. The room/suite was very pleasantly decorated in neutral tones and comprised a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. There is a mini kitchen including a sink and microwave neatly hidden behind double doors. The bathroom is quite small. There is a bath with a good shower head, the shower door is permanently attached to the side of the bath meaning that it would be quite hard for anyone with any mobility issues at all to get in and out of the shower/bath - the opening that is left is not overly generous. Toiletries provided are good. The bed was very comfortable. There is free WIFI access which went down once during my stay (10 days) but was good other than that. Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is a buffet, there is not a huge choice but it is perfectly adequate and includes fruit, cereal, pastries, juice scrambled eggs and bacon. The swimming pool is indoors and adjacent to the dining are so not really suitable for lying beside. I did not try the spa. The area around the hotel is very nice with plenty of cafes and bars and within walking distance of many shops. IAny encounters I had with the staff were very pleasant and all requests were dealt with efficiently. I would certainly return here.
