The Nogaro is a small, elegant hotel right next to Plaza de Mayo. Refurbished to look like a boutique hotel, it has a modern and smart lobby, decorated in the predictable but always effective dark brown, beige and white palette.
Our first room was a small one, but switching to a larger one was not a problem. The nicely appointed bedroom with dark yellow walls, traditional hardwood floor, comfortable beds was complete with a small working space. The bathroom left a bit to be desired, their renovation being not more then a much to obvious face lift.
The service is attentive enough. The breakfast, advertised as the best in town, doesn't exactly meet that particular expectation but is rather complete, with delicious omelets constantly being made to order. It is however served in a rather simple and bland canteen-like room at the back of the hotel, which could and should be much improved decor-wise.
All in all a competent, perfectly located, inexpensive property that doesn't set you on fire, and works fine as a base to discover BsAs.
