Location is OK, but that's where the good news ends. Rooms are small, furniture is of Franciscan simplicity, bathroom is tiny, elevators DID NOT WORK (great if climbing 8 flights of stairs is part of your daily exercise routine, but otherwise...), fitness center was inaccesible (may be that's why they did not fix the elevators?), price is high for the bracket. Do I need to say more? I would stay away and choose many of the atlernatives with equally good location.

“Totally enjoyed the725”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in Buenos Aires, March 2 thru March 9, 2007 and stayed at the 725 which we enjoyed very much. The only glitch when we checked into our room was the bathroom which we found was a tad too small, but we were quickly switched to another room which was very adequate, indeed! Mostly pros for this hotel: it bills itself as a modern boutique hotel, and succeeds quite nicely, rooms spacious enough with nice linens; location is excellent if you fancy one right in the heart of the city; breakfasts (included in the rate) are first class - couldn't get enough of the liquid yogourt; fashionable lobby; helpful staff overall; an unbeatable rooftop pool and sunning area. What more do you really need? We even ate one night at the restaurant and had an outstanding meal.

While the rate was a tad on the high side, I still would highly recommend the 725 for someone looking for a boutique type hotel in the downtown core.

“Not a Good Value! Poor Service”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

I and my family stayed in hotel for four nights divided in two distinct periods of two nights in February. On the positive side, I think the rooms are quite nice, although varying in size, and the location, for those willing to stay downtown, is appealing. However, service offered is quite poor, although staff pretends to be or look helpful. When I arrived the first time in the hotel, there was absolutely nobody to help me with luggage at the door. I had to carry it all myself. Despite the fact was 8 PM, one of the rooms I had booked was not cleaned/ready. We waited in the one available for half an hour but nobody would take our luggage upstairs. Fed up, I went down and took it upstairs myself. At this time, I witnessed the following scene: a young mother, carrying a baby, was complaining in the front desk that she had been trying to get somebody in room service for twenty minutes for no avail. I think you get the picture! The second time I arrived, they put us in two different floors despite the fact I asked them that to have my children in the same floor. The guy in the front desk told me he was sorry but the hotel was full. They are always "sorry", but you can perfectly see they do not care a lot. If the hotel were cheaper one could take it in strides. But this is definitly not the case!

“Make sure you get what you pay for”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

This hotel has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are very stylish and the lobby bar is comfortable and attractive. There was a nice breakfast each monring and a beautiful roof pool. Service was friendly, but uneven. One of the concierges was wonderfully helpful; another was pretty disinterested. We were taken aback, however, to be put in a superior room when we'd booked (and were paying a higher rate for, an executive suite). It took three tries before we were shown to an executive suite. The desk clerk then rather testily informed us he had "upgraded" us. Although we loved our stay, this did leave a bad impression.

“best furnished hotel in B.A.”

725 Buenos Aires Hotel

We stayed in 4 different hotels during our trip to Buenos Aires, and this one was by far the best.

The hotel is in a sandstone palace of the 20ies which was completely renovated in state of the art stylish design one year ago.
The equipment is brand new and the design of profound quality, not one of those many fake design hype places. We had a huge room in the 7th floor with view over the roof tops of Diagonal Norte, a very busy avenue, but the windows and curtains were so good you wouldn't hear any traffic. The queen size bed had very good matresses and linen.

Service was very nice and spoke even perfect German.
The rooftop terrace is a must-see, you are among the city center domes and skyscrapers and can even have a look of Plata river.
Breakfast room has a fresh atmosphere with a good buffet.

Although Microcentro is too busy for our taste and has a lot of run down cornerns, we would come back to that central area just for this house, for lack of places like that in better placed Palermo or Recoleta.
