Let me preface this review with the fact that I normally stay in american chains and/or boutique hotels.
Stayed in a quadruple room at this hotel in February 2008 with a few friends who had just finished a camping trip, so this was a luxury for them. Unfortunately, for me it was not as nice as we had gotten to this hotel after about 24 hours of travel, expecting a clean air conditioned room, but nothing fancy at all.
We had a few problems that went unfixed throughout the stay. A shower that had a very slow moving drain, and an air conditioner that made unbearably loud noises (think gunshots at 3 in the morning), starting our second night of four. As it was about 90 degrees farenheit and humid at night, the airconditioning was a major problem, but as the units were built into the wall about 25 years ago, the desk told us that they could not do anything for us.
Other than the room problems, the hotel was great. Very friendly, decent breakfast offering, and a good location all for $60 US per night for 4 people. I would recommend this hotel to budget travelers who do not mind a worn hotel. I imagine for most rooms the facilities were functioning properly.
