Secret Garden – Iguazu, Argentina
In the middle of Iguazu town, Secret Garden is a three-room sanctuary nestled in bush. This was a magical find. The rooms are spacious and decorated very nicely. There is no TV, but this made for a very relaxing stay. The rooms were extremely clean. The only small irritation we had was the shower, which had a tilting window for ventilation, wasn’t a good design for people more than 6” tall. Breakfast was a little basic (watermelon, toast, juice & coffee), but was tasty. The legendary John was out of town during our stay, but the staff were friendly & helpful. They organised a driver (Ariel) to chauffeur us around to both sides of the Falls and to the Bird Park & he was superb. We highly recommend this option for anyone heading to Iguazu, particularly if you want to do it all in one day. There Secret Garden has compulsory caipirinhas (cocktails) on the deck at 7pm, which is a lovely opportunity to meet the other guests & share experiences.
