We spent the first night in Bariloche in a small lodge right by the road. Way too loud. We reserved a room at the Edelweiss online the next morning. Probably paid too much but it was worth it. We explained to the front desk that we were fleeing the road noise and they changed our room from a 1st floor to a top floor room at the same price as we checked in. The room wasn't super quiet but it wasn't bad and was rather large. Great lake view and black out curtains helped. Great location near the center of town. Restuarant was good too. And the staff was very friendly and spoke English for the most part. We would go back.

Based on the number of stars of this hotel, I had expected much more. It felt rather outdated and not as fresh as could be expected. Or as the images on the web site led on. The food was not among the best I have tried in Argentina, but the service good. The location in central Bariloche is obviously great, but honestly, when travelling to Patagonia, one should make sure to stay close to the maginficent nature and splendid scenery...! It is not a hotel stay that I will remember.

Good location in town but as previous reviewer noted it gets noisy at night. We stayed there at the end of the season and it was still noisy so what it must be like in peak season is anyone's guess, I suppose it depends on if you are a light or heavy sleeper.
The hotel has a nice indoor pool on the top floor which wasn't crowded when we were there. The hotel definately wasn't worth the 5 stars that it claimed to have as the rooms were small and sparsely furnished. Having said that the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very small room with outdated furniture. Our room faced the street and it was very noisy all night long. In addition, it was their sumer school break and young "college" kids were screaming, singing and being noisy all night long (outside our windown on the street). Lovely town. Poor service in their upscale restaurant. Breakfast was very nice and complete.
