We stayed here for three nights this February as part of a small group tour and had an amazing time - walks, bird-watching, horse-riding, glacier-viewing, fossil-spotting plus generous food and drink. Very comfortable spacious bungalow rooms with wonderful views up the valley. The boat trip to get here is spectacular in itself (viewing the Uppsala Galcier from the lake) but to get a sense of the remoteness of this valley it is really worth staying overnight. There is a small but fascinating museum about the history of the English family who founded the original ranch and entertained visiting climbers and glaciologists here for many years. The Patagonian lamb lunch served in the restaurant was delicious, as were the steak sandwiches we enjoyed freshly cooked on a griddle pan at a refuge a good 3-hour hike uphill (complete with red wine....)
