We stayed at Coswarth House for New Year and were very impressed with the facilities and the warm welcome we received. This was easily the best accommodation we have stayed in when visiting Cornwall. The aromatherapy massages from Mary are particularly good. We enjoyed having breakfast and newspapers delivered to our room which was a relaxing start to the day. It was also great that Coswarth House is situated within easy walking distance of the harbour, with plenty of restaurants and pubs close by, as well as a super beach and the Camel Trail. It was obvious that a great deal of effort had been made to make guests feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible and we will definitely be staying again.

“Coswarth House - a wonderful place to stay”

Padstow was wonderful and so was Mike and Mary's B&B, Coswarth House. We were made to feel very welcome by Mike on our arrival and after showing us the amenities and our room, he disappeared for a few moments only to return with a piping hot pot of tea. We loved all the personalised touches in the room - especially the fudge and chocolate muffins. The bathroom was luxurious although it should be noted it is not an ensuite in the true sense. You need to leave the bedroom and walk down a few steps to get to it. However, there are excellent low voltage floor lights to find your way. Breakfast was superb - I had the Eggs Benedict both mornings and it was beautifully prepared. As the weather wasn't the best - breakfast was served both mornings in our room. Mary was extremely helpful in doing a little bit of washing for us, as there was no laundromat in Padstow, and we were in urgent need of clean clothes. Also, we especially appreciated Mike's "quirky" sense of humour re Australia's thrashing by England in the Rugby World Cup. We're so sorry England didn't go on to win Mike - never mind!!!

The B&B is a very short walk from the centre of Padstow. The car park is a bit of a tight squeeze if there's a full house, but we made it in and out safely without any scratches. We definitely want to return to Padstow one day and would have no hesitations in staying at this wonderful B&B.

WOW - Fantastic attention to detail with everything. Lovely people, warm welcome. Simply the best B&B I have ever stayed in and beats most hotels aswell.
Complimentary drink when we arrived and bottle of wine in room, with fresh water and milk in mini fridge. Hospitality tray full of fair trade goodies and reusable jars, none of those horrible little packets everywhere.Great thought to the environvent. Homemade bathroom products which smelt wonderful, beautiful roll top bath and walkin shower with warmed thick fluffy towels.
Breakfast was to die for, with all locallly sourced foods.
Everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better stay, it made our anniversary very special.

“A truly wonderful B&B”

You must stay at Coswarth House if you go to Padstow.

It is a beautiful building, recently restored by new owners Mike and Mary (wonderful, warm hosts) and converted to a B&B. It is only a short, 2-3 minute, walk to Padstow harbour, with wonderful views of the estuary.

The rooms are huge, beautifully decorated and the attention to every little detail is great (what you expect from a top hotel, but refreshing to see in a B&B).

The bathrooms are fab too- great shower, amazing shower gel and shampoo- made by Mary herself and so good I had to buy some.

Breakfast- easily the best bit- is served in the comfort of your own room (though in better weather you have the option of eating in the garden outside) and expertly prepared by Mike offering you a fabulous choice of cereals, full cornish, pancakes & kedgeree (to name but a few). Served piping hot with very smooth coffee and a choice of juice. As I said, the best bit of the whole stay!

My wife and I had a great trip to Padstow (which is in a beautiful part of the country) and the fact that we stayed at Coswarth House really added to our enjoyment because the whole experience was so relaxing and comfortable.

“The most wonderful B&B in a league of its own!”

Coswarth House

A huge thanks to everyone who has posted reviews on Tripadvisor for Coswarth House, for without you we may not have found out about this true gem of a B&B. And an even bigger thanks to Mary and Mike for a wonderful stay in such marvellous surroundings.

There is little to add that hasn't already been written on the many other glowing reviews of Coswarth House on Tripadvisor. If you are looking to visit anywhere in the UK for a long weekend, then you should really look no further.

If you happen to own a B&B or hotel, or if you work in a B&B or hotel, or are thinking about either of these options at the moment, then do visit Coswarth House as what Mary and Mike have created is an excellent example for others to emulate. If you can even begin to replicate the standards that they have set with both their property and their level of service then you really cannot go far wrong.

Amazing, really amazing!!
