“Just Fantastic”

Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel)

We were doing the California Tour and as it was a special birthday for my son and I we decided to stay at the Beverley Wilshire. When we checked in we were upgraded as it was our birthdays and the whole of the party (there were 8 of us in all) were all given large suites. The hotel was fantastic and the service was second to none. Whilst we were there it was the premier of the new Indiana Jones film (my husband is a big fan). When we asked where the nearest cinema was we were told that they would arrange for the house car to take us and it would be bought around the front of the hotel when we required it. When we went outside we were met by Frank who was our chaufeur and taken in a Rolls Royce Phantom. This made my husband's day and Frank asked us to call him when the film had finished and he would come to pick us up. We used the car several times during our stay and I have to say what a wonderful man and ambasador for the hotel Frank is.

“We Loved the Beverly Wilshire”

We stayed here for just one night after we had checked out of the Beverly Hills Hotel early because of the awful reception staff and tired and faded rooms that we had there. What a pity we didn't book the Beverly Wilshire from the outset because it was so much better. The staff could not have been nicer, the location right by Rodeo Drive was excellent, and our rooms were superb. If and when we return to LA we will choose the Beverly Wilshire every time !

“Great place”

Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel)

Four Seasons can mostly do no wrong in my mind. This place is the best location on Rodeo Drive for all the shopping. The rooms are spacious and new. CUT is great for steak (Wolfgang Puck) and the staff are so wonderful, great place!

“Classic Beverly Hills Experience”

Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel)

This is the classic Beverly Hills experience. I surprised a friend with a stay here on his first trip to L.A., and it was just the fairy tale kind of place he had imagined. You feel like royalty pulling in, and the Four Seasons-trained staff is warm, inviting, and very professional. All of the spaces are gorgeous --- lobby, both restaurants, bar, etc. Our room was very elegant in its simplicity, with fabulous bed linens and an elegant bath. You can't beat the people-watching while having lunch or drinks on the front patio facing Wilshire.

Downsides are few. The driveway was absolutely slammed as we were leaving, and the valet/door staff wasn't very efficient nor did they seem very interested in quickly clearing out the traffic jam. They also took 15 minutes to pull the car around at a much quieter time after we had already given them a call from the room 10 minutes prior --- almost 1/2 hour when it wasn't very busy is not what I expected. The other thing that disappointed me was the $15/day charge for wireless internet access --- absolutely inexcusable when standard rooms are $595/night and other nearby hotels charging 1/3 of these rates offer it for free. At these prices, plus something like $30/night for parking, please don't nickel-and-dime me (in 2008!) for wireless internet.

Overall this hotel is a classic, elegant, fabulous place in an ideal location. Make that a dangerous location --- for your *wallet* --- with all of those amazing stores on Rodeo literally right out the front door. I like that the top hotels in the L.A. area offer quite different experiences for the most part (Peninsula vs. Chateau Marmont vs. Hotel Bel-Air vs. BH Hotel, for example), and the Beverly Wilshire deserves its reputation as one of the best in town.

“5 star service in a 5 star location”

Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel)

We stayed at the 4 Seasons Beverly Hills Wilshire in November and enjoyed the experience immensely. From the moment we arrived the service and staff were wonderful. My 4 year old son received a choice of gift upon arrival and was spoilt throughout our stay. The 4 Seasons reservations had put us in a room too small for the 3 of us so they immediately upgraded us to suite, at no extra cost. The location is perfect, so central for the shopping and restaurants and don't miss eating at Wolfgang Puck's there. It's 'busy' but the service is very attentive and knowledgeable and the food and wine list of course is brilliant. One small downfall is the attitude of some of the guys organising the house cars, a maserati, rolls royce and bmw 7 series, which will take you anywhere within 20 minutes drive of the hotel and come and pick you up gratis. I think they are used to dealing with executives or 'celebrities' not families enjoying a 5 day holiday. We were there just before Thanksgiving and saw Sharon Stone turn the Christmas lights on and sat outside in the restaurant and watched the fireworks go off over our heads, very nice of them to put this on for us on our first night, only problem was my son had high expectations for the following nights' entertainment! The pool is heated so you can swim all year round and the concierge staff are excellent and can get you into almost anywhere. All in all a highly recomended experience for just about anyone.
