I did not want to go home! I stayed here just one night for a business meeting which was also held at the hotel. My standard room was very spacious and elegant. In addition to the expected King size bed (very comfortable) and desk, there was a sofa with an end table at either end in front of a bank of windows overlooking Rodeo Drive. The bathroom was spacious and elegant with separate tub and marble shower, granite topped vanity desk, and a window also with the Rodeo Drive view. Large flat screen TV in the main room and a smaller one in the bath. Service was exquisite both in our meeting room as well as bed room. I set my alarm for 6 am and also ordered room service for 6 am-the doorbell rang at the exact moment the alarm sounded. Food served during the meeting was excellent, as was the apple martini from the bar! Pretty, elegant meeting rooms. I would love to go back to the Beverly Wilshire!

I stayed in the newer wing of this hotel for 2 nights in March, and I was a little worried because I had read some reviews that the new rooms weren't so great. While we didn't get the view of Rodeo Drive, the room was awesome. We had a balcony with a view of the mountains (and even a very small Hollywood sign) and the back of the old hotel. I loved the bed, the plasma TV and the bathroom was what you would expect at a hotel like this. Carrera marble, seperate tub/shower, etc.

However, the main reason we booked this hotel was because of its fabulous location. We were within an easy walk of all the shops and just a short drive from The Grove and The Beverly Center. There are also a ton of amazing restaurants in walking distance. Also, use the concierage. They are amazing and recommended fabulous, local restaurants that we otherwise would have had no idea about. I've stayed at other nice hotels, but the service here just blew me away. Like another reviewer, I never opened a door myself and everyone from housekeeping to security to the front desk was there to make our stay perfect. I feel that this hotel is well worth the expensive price tag.

“Incredible experience”

Quite simply, an incredible and elegant experience. While the hotel is a little bit pricey (debateable for what you get), it is one of the only times in my life that I actually wished that we could have stayed for a few more days.

We booked the "Wilshire Package" which includes $100 hotel credit along w/ a room upgrade if available. Boy was the upgrade worth it. From a regular room to a suite w/ 3 TV's (2 large screen) and a very large bathroom. Every one of the hotel staff members were extremely helpful and kind. I don't think I ever opened a door to the hotel myself, for there was always someone there to do it for us. While I certainly don't require or expect this type of pampering, it just added to the entire feel of the hotel.

Obviously the hotel is in a beautiful location for shopping. It is also within very easy walking distance of many and varied restaurants. Our favorite was "Jack n Jills" for breakfast. There's also a great little sushi place and mexican food place just 2 blocks away, not to mention several others.

We knew the Beverly Wilshire was a famous landmark when we booked it, but now that we're back home we see it every day in a movie or commercial. Really a fun and interesting place to stay, and in my opinion, well worth the price of admission.

“Good but not GREAT”

This should really be 3.5 instead of 4. This was the last hotel of 5 on a Vegas/California trip and this was probably the only one I was slightly disappointed with. It was beautiful and clean, so no complaints there. And I am quite a bit anal, I know, but after 4 hotels with nice white duvet covers, this hotel had the 2 white sheets with the comforter sandwiched in the middle. Well, I couldnt sleep b/c, #1 the bed was uncomfortable, #2 I was afraid the comforter would peak around the corner and touch me. This hotel is too fancy and expensive to not have a nice, tucked IN duvet.
